Odd window behavior on shutdown

Anyone else experience this? I pull into the garage, and pull both window tabs up hard to activate the automatic close function. Windows are halfway up and I turn off the ignition and suddenly, one of the windows goes back down while the other one continues to finish closing! Can't figure it out,and it has happened a couple times.

I've coded ASD off with Bimmercode, but nothing else. Not sure if that's related, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Try turning on the power, hold the window button down till the window is all the way down, release and quickly press the button again and hold for about 5 seconds. Now try the windows again.

Just to be clear - I'm immediately able to correct the window going down (it isn't stuck or anything). Just seems odd it would inexplicably reverse course!

Same thing happened to me this morning. Same situation like yours, the passenger side reversed the closing and went down. For safety reason?

It happens to me from time to time. I like fresh air so usually have the drivers window down. It’ll happen sometimes when I’m turning off the car. I’m wondering if you code the button to only need one push (rather than 2) if his behavior will continue? It seems to happen to me on push #2 if I’m remembering correctly.

This happens to me too. If the windows are closing when I shut the car off, it sometimes reverses direction. Electrical conflict?

I have ASD coded off too, but I don't think they're related.

Until I see someone post that it happens to them without ASD coded off, feels like more than a coincidence.

I think we can just replicate different shutdown sequences and see what triggers it
1- window up full
2- push ignition off
3- open door

Just try the above in different permutations

I would try coding out the safety feature that prevents the windows from auto closing when the door's open. Not sure if that would help or not but it's worth trying IMO.

I had this happen to me recently - didn't even realize my passenger window was down until I came back after work!

Now I just roll up all windows first and then press the ignition button.

Have you done any coding to your car?
