Matt's stock Z4M with RE-71rs and my stock 1M with three year old Maxxis (aka Crapsis) R tires were pretty much just about dead even!
The 1M has a little more M powah so I was able to just keep you guys in the rear view..
I would expect the M2 to pull on both on those long straights at COTA.
I definitely agree, one of my most fun sessions (when I wasn't driving) of that weekend! I also rode in the M4 GTS that was there and a GT4, great track and experience overall.

BTW, I am also running RE-71R's and they are fantastic, get some!

I'm already a member. Thanks for the info.

I thought Cars and Coffee was last weekend. Did they delay it?

IMO, CS = ZCP and both M2 and M2 CS will have the same engine. The question is, MY18 or MY19?

M2 will have the T0 through EOP to maintain price point. B58 or derivative will be next standard-model engine per history.

EOP for current M2 is 06/17. I don't believe a MY '18 LCI built starting 7/17 will have a different engine. I believe the first engine change will be in a MY '19 CS.

Really not like BMW to give customers something for nothing.

5 years ago USB slot was still $500..

You can't even get a back up camera today without paying for an exec pack ..on a 2017 and this feature is mandated in the US for 2018, and like the USB five years ago, there is a backup camera and front collision avoidance on most of the econoboxes available.

Good look on getting an S55 in a base model M2. If that were to happen then definitely there would be some issue ( like emissions ) forcing the N55 out of production. We shall see .

The current production year being MY 2017, it will be the end of the current production year, MY 2018 starting in July.

Yup. I'm sure the M2 CS won't have carbon fiber roof or any major weight loss. It will have a more motorsport engine, aero, and might have dampers with multiple settings or lowered or something. Will it be more special for performance than the current M2? Yes, but that doesn't mean it's the better car.
