Instruments & armrest removal
Hey guys, I notice some of you have the digital read outs for the air-conditioning in white, but mine are orange. Mine was a July build. Just curious as to why this is or if there is a setting that changes it?
Also, does anyone know how to remove the armrest? It's so annoying having it down as I can't shift properly and I really have no use for it as I leave it up all the time. My girlfriend has a 228 with no armrest which is what I want!

Next you will be removing the CUP HOLDERS....isn't anything sacred any more???
JK.... Might look odd without the rest covering the cubby under it....once you remove the rest..maybe you can fit something inside that covers the opening and looks nice still but is lower for shifting???? Mike

Also, regarding the 'waterfall ambient lighting' radiating from the M2 roof near the rear view mirror: in the iDrive settings you can set the radiated color to either "Classic" (amber/orange) or "Sport" (white).

You should have no problem getting the info from the dealer on the removal process. I have asked them to print a few pages for various service things I did over the years. Just ask! Or pick up a Bentley Manual on the 2 series... Mike (The Bentley Manual is a worthwhile investment, I am waiting on a M2 Bentley Manual once they publish one LOL, may be in a couple years?)

I can't tell on mobile - what market is this? I thought US/NA market cars didn't have the rear armrest. Was I wrong?
I think the rear armrest is only in the 40/20/40 cars. Edit. He's talking about the center console? |
