I've been bumped to the 1st spot at my dealer & now have the option of getting the M2 in June rather than having to wait until next year - however I really want to get an idea for insurance before committing 100% this year.
There are some M2's already on UK roads but their registrations show M4's & 1M's in insurance databases. Has anyone managed to find a company that can give quotes for a M2? |

Don't know about insurance but if you don't want the car for June, can I have your allocation?!
I'm number 3 at my dealer and won't be getting one until next year. Chris |

Lucky boy, similar happened to me and my delivery is around the same time as yourself
I'm not even looking until the official launch of April 16th as I don't think the Insurance companies data bases will be updated till then.I can't see it being astronomical though as it's less than £50K, I'd estimate somewhere along the lines of Carrera 2S,E92 M3 money which for me personally is around the £400 ish mark. |

Good news Jason.
I wouldn't worry about the insurance just yet. I was very very pleasantly surprised with my M4 insurance, £200 less than my current 335d! Crazy all circumstances the same.

Maybe I shouldn't worry - however I'm still in my 20s so insurance costs a little more for me than you guys it seems |

20,000mpa business and personal use.
40 10yrs protected no claims M4 was......£310!!! I nearly drive to call centre to hug the agent!!! Take my MONNNNEEEYYYYY NOWW Oddly same stats and my 335D which is cheaper, slower and safer with X drive is over £500. Go figure Hoping the new models confuses the actuaries who sit behind an abacus all day long.

£310 for the M4 is insane! Insurance boggles my mind with all their statistics - how can a M4 be less than a 335D! Probably something to do with more people have crashed 335D's than M4's. |

It's because diesels are expected to be driven a lot further and do high yearly mileage, thus increasing the chance of being involved in an accident. |

I'd get a quote for an M4 and 235i and pray the M2 will somewhere in between! I currently pay less than £300 for an 8 year old modified 135i. I dread to think how much the M2 will be!
