'18 Touchscreen IDrive Problem

Anyone have issues with their idrive doing things on it's own when it gets really hot outside? It seems to me like the touchscreen is activating certain points on the screen.

I don't have any issues, but I don't drive it that often. approx 1000 +/- miles a month not on short trips though, when I take it out it may accumulate 100-150 miles on a day.

It doesn't matter what you have open, it will just start tapping on things automatically.

I had this exact same issue. I thought it was a software issue but the dealer determined there was a problem with the iDrive screen and replaced it with a new screen.

Happened to me a couple of times but went away. Haven't brought it in though but will mention it next service

Yep happened to me quite frequently. Every time was really hot outside it would randomly activate parts of the screen.

Brought it to the dealer and they replaced the screen. No problems since.
