Yeah, GT350 is a great car. Will be curious to see if Ford decides to do a final Mustang with an even better NA engine to compete with the Z06 or not.

As good as the GT350 is, the C8 Z06 will be on another level.
Beautiful color combo. Are you happy with your decision to swap for the CS?

I also crossed shop those two cars. I managed to drive a 2019 GT350 before I bought my CS, but I would have purchased the R version. I really liked the GT350, but wished it was a little smaller.

I'm happy with the CS. I only sold the GT350R because I left Arizona to work in Qatar and the car was sitting at a storage facility for almost a year. I didn't have any plans on returning to the states so I sold it. Shortly after I sold it, I ended up taking a new position in Germany. I definitely wish I would've kept it because it would be a great car to have here, but the M2CS is also a very special car so I don't have any regrets.

Will definitely be considering a Z06 if the price is acceptable when they land in Australia...500kw NA V8, I'm in.

Looks like Ciocca Corvette opens their wait-list tomorrow at noon. Unsure what the deposit is. I'll be holding off for a while. I'd hate to have an allocation come too soon and have to pass. I'm not giving up the CS.

An allocation for a 2023 already? Do you know what their price is?

If you're even considering one, Lock an allocation and a price in early! Reason being...

I had a 2022 Gt3 at $25k over sticker. I passed at the last min and bought the M2 CSR.

Now the 2022 GT3's are being spec'd at your local Porsche dealer for $100k plus over sticker.

I'm guessing the Z06 is going to follow the same path.

I'm sure their orders are pretty full. They had 200 people show up in person. Nevermind the online activity. I agree with your logic. I probably should have got on an early allocation to flip. I used the more boring approach of aligning timing with my with my finances. We making room for a cybertruck too

Holy cow 200 people in line, just nuts! ! Yeah, I always say I'm gonna flip cars but when it comes down to it, I fall in love, "invest" money into them and sell them down the road for a loss, some losses can vary but some have been pretty hefty I make a terrible "flipper".

I had all my info in and submitted by 20 seconds after noon. I was refreshing the page every second leading up to noon, and it went live right on the mark. I got a confirmation page with a note they would contact me "shortly", but I've never heard anything back.

It's $2k deposit, refundable, for an MSRP allocation.

I'm guessing they had a few thousand people try to get a spot, so I think it's a pipe dream to believe one has one through this process (unless it's for a 2026 spot or something). I've written it off already, but you never know.

If the 992 GT3 can do a sub 7 minute lap, I would bet GM targeted that time as well.

If they even get within a few seconds, it will be ridiculous at this car's price point.

I'd be willing to bet they'll be able to run under 7.10 and under 7.00 if they want it to. Whether that waits for the zr1 or zora who knows.

I see no reason to jump onto the early bandwagon on this thing. At the end of the day it's a mass produced GM. Just wait a couple of years, and you'll get one new without getting bent over. I said the same thing to a buddy of mine who got bent over on a C8. Just wait until the Z06 comes out, and the normal C8 will be cheaper to get.. Same thing applies here.

I agree with this logic. Also the new motor is bound to need some kinks worked out. The transmission is already being addressed. I'd like to see an E-ray with flatplane crank that isn't in the Zora price territory.

I know a buddy that bought his C8 for 78k, drove it for a year and a half and just sold it to a dealer for 92k because he wants a Z06. If you can get a Z06 for MSRP, you'll be able to flip it for a nasty profit for a long time.

It's all about timing. However, there are going to mountains of C8's littering the used market in the next couple of years. It's like the early adopters for the Hellcat. There are so many of those things on the used market now. The only ones holding any value are the Demon, and the Durango.

Exactly and hence the reason that dealer offering MSRP allocations was swamped likely beyond their wildest thoughts.

Only because of COVID. As the chip issues begin to be resolved, etc. This thing is going to have high production numbers. Just wait. This is not a limited car like the CS, a Demon, etc.

Interesting turn of events at my local dealership. The z06 list is lengthy and I'm at the bottom, but I'm #1 for the ZR1. We'll see what comes up first. Same group I bought my CS from, but no telling if it will be MSRP. At this point it's so far out that I don't care. I think Chevy will produce the z06 for as long as people want them. I'd prefer the zr1 because they hold value really well, but I don't really want to pay for one

The C7 ZR1 is pretty ugly if you ask me.....which you didn't.

I would imagine the C8 ZR1 is gonna be insane! I'd put down a non refundable $100 deposit on one
