I’m not worried at the slightest about the new m2. It’s going to look like garbage.
I got mine with a newborn too! She hasn't been in it yet, but my 3yo enjoys it.

Got mine with new born twins and a toddler lol. It's perfect for my 3 boys and leave mom at home 😂.

The CS is the biggest car I own out of 3 (aside my wife's suv thing). It's my family performance car.

Tons of room unless you are a family of fat asses. Amazing how car sizes have changed over the years. It would be classified as a largeish car in the 80s, a large medium car in the 90s, a medium car in the 2000s.

Cue everyone complaining about the weight.

Yeah, no kidding. My wife and I hate huge cars hence the F87,E90,E91. That recent article with the F87 and E21 showed shocking pictures of what a monster the F87 is even. Ages ago I used to own an E21, so I know the car well.

Size and everything else is why I decided I didn't want to bother holding onto the CS. I'd rather build my collection of older BMW's. Still need an E31, etc.

40 years ago the new e28 5 series was smaller than today's 3 series. Oh and that M5 had 286 PS out of a 3.5L in-line 6. So you have to go back in time ….

Classics are great. I personally just can't do prior 1988 with BMW.

First M car for the masses. I'm generally not a fan of anything non BMW M anyhow. Yes I'm a M snob or maybe just the mayor of M town?

You need this then...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-bmw-325i-63/

I was watching the auction live. I wanted to place a bid so bad, but the price got a little high. In retrospect, a bargain compared to my cs..

I've had the crazy idea to trade to get an x5/x6 lease because it would be better for family duties but I think that is more of a shopping itch

My first car was an e21! It fit me and 3 of my 18 year old friends nicely. No one complained.

Jeez man. If I had a CS there's no way in hell i'd think about selling it right now. You guys have a car that

1. Drives great

2. appears to be depreciation proof

Seems like a prime candidate for "I will keep this and drive it as much as possible" which is pretty ideal as far as the automobile goes.

Again, point 2 is not a solid one. There is a big unknown factor with the next M2. If this was truly the last manual/RWD M2, i'd agree. However, it isn't.

The CS is so rare it won't ever be worth much less than it was at MSRP. At least in the U.S.

I think in the worst case scenario values will remain stagnant, but cars that are universally lauded as excellent AND that are THAT rare will never go way down in value. I agree that if they were the last MT/RWD/M2 etc they'd be worth a lot more but I still don't see anything this good and this rare depreciating much, if at all.

Everything so far indicates that the new M2 is going to look fugly though. In 10 years people will want the good looking one that brings on feelings of BMW nostalgia.

The CS is a car that people who aren't even really into cars describe as "gorgeous" etc. Maybe people who have had really good looking cars in the past are used to it, but I've never had a car before where people regularly talk to you about it at the gas station etc.

I think the values will peak at doubling then hold steady around 70-80k within 5 to 8yrs+/- for a mint one.

1. Gearbox choices are both an interactive win. (True double clutch box now extinct)

2. Last 3 pedal bmw built in Germany (shipped to USA)

3. 6/4pot true brembo's

4. Manual parking brake

5. Short wheelbase

6. Engine/suspension Best of Series.

7. Simple headlight switch.

8. A radio button.

9. The button layout on the shift console is easy to remember and spaced enough so I don't have to take my eyes off of the road.

10. The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. From YouTube kids to Old time journalists.

G80 is built in Germany and has a three pedal offering. G87, which will have a three pedal offering too, will be built in Germany too.

Yes, but the G8X series will never have a manual parking brake that I've listed. F87 M2CS will become the last purists car of its class and above.

According to what I have read, US G87s will be built in Mexico.

I'm starting to just want to keep it. There's nothing to replace it with for even 125 unless used with no warranty
