I would not attach the screen to the kidneys - attach it closer to the radiator. On the bottom simply zip tie it to the two metal "struts" there. The zip ties will be low enough to not be seen once the kidneys are installed again. On the top there are two m6 (maybe they were M5) bolts that protrude down into the space. You can use these as mounting studs to hold the top of the screen material. Lay the screen over the end of these bolts and fasten with a larger fender washer and nylock nut. Stainless screen material is available at pegasusautoracing.com - or other suppliers, but I simply used a plastic square mesh material from my local farm supply store. It was near the chicken wire and such. Then use Zunsport for the lower opening.

Thanks again FaRKle! for the in depth video on the CS Racing parts.

Although a few of you have shared your disappointment with the mesh for the kidney grills, I ordered these and I'm waiting for the Zunsport mesh kit to get back in stock so I can get the rest of the mesh.

I'm also ordering the M2 CS Racing front stabilizer as many of you have suggested. Can't wait to get these installed on my M2C just in time for some track days in So Cal!

if anyone wants the kidney mesh, shoot me a DM and I will sell for 50% retail plus shipping. I am not going to install them.

Attention guys, rear M2 CS Racing sway bars dont fit to the stock M2/M2c/M2cs, because it doesn't count with tube from fuel cap to fuel tank. If you put it there, get the subframe up, than it will be in contact with that tube. If you will try to put there adjustable droplinks, you will find that you would need muuuch shorter droplink than stock to fit them in (about 3-4cm shorter) because that fuel tube wont let you raise the bar up, but even when you have this short droplinks, you will crush fuel tube when you drop the car down from the lift.

So it's absolutely no go with stock fuel tank

Good info Vojta89!

I'm tempted to buy the H&R aftermarket kit and drill an additional hole in the rear bar.

G’day
Do you take any photos during the install that you could share please ?

Thank you for advice as this was my next upgrade for my M2 Cs .

Can you advise what type/make of (shorter) drop-links that you (finally) used that were installed ?

Thanks
bruce

Not sure if this has been answered before but I was wondering if anyone has done the math to convert an M2C to an full on M2cs Racing?

I want to know the costs just based on parts alone that can be easily purchased thru bmw. I recently traded in my M2C for a CS and I was looking at the cost of getting a CSR in Canada. That got me thinking about buying the M2C back and turning it into a csR. What would the parts alone cost? labor and such will vary as well as the cage costs but what do you guys think? I might actually be able to buy the M2c back for cheap and sell all the parts I take off the car. I've had it since new and now with 27k kms on it and I know the full history of the car. Plus side is that it'll still be a registered street car. The M2csR that is available in Canada is asking $171k cad. Am I nuts to think i can build one for cheaper?

I also have a full race build E36 M3.

Hotchkiss offers adjustable front and rear sways. HR and Eibach rear bars are non adjustable. It seems that hotchkiss is the way to go

I ordered in the CS instrument cluster for aim dash. It looks super clean, OEM, as you would expect.

Many parts will not be easily compatible, and most of the electronics have completely different firmware not available anywhere else except at BMW engineering.

So in essence you'd be building a racecar out of your M2C, but not an M2CS-Racing. You might as well build it how you want, because it will be a street car conversion instead of a factory build.

Only BMW Builds M2 CSR's so comparing any shop or home built M2 race car to a factory built car is quite useless. BMW builds them to race in specific classes.

Your car will never be eligible for that class so build it to your own specs and have fun! More Power, more aero. Don't be restricted by a factory car when you can build to your specs.

There are many M2 street / race car builds out there. Many from team Schirmer as well, follow them on IB. Great builds, great cars and I want one of those also.

So where do you begin? You can't find an M2C for cheap. No such thing these days.

I have been debating it but I think I'm going to make it happen. A good winter project.

Hey guys I've posted in the other thread about the CS racing wing.

I'm looking for peoples opinions on the wings effectiveness.

Can someone whose driven an m2 with no wing please tell me if they have felt the downforce created from the CS racing wing?

I'm torn between this wing and the tried and true 235 wing.
