Well there is no question about the power and strengths of the electric engine, but until they make the batteries way better it?s not for me yet.

They degrade over the years (like your phones) and 350 km in the best Tesla is realistic when driving long haul (recent test from Copenhagen to south of France made the point in a business news paper.)

I?m driving my 320d from Copenhagen to northern Italy next week and it?s the perfect beast for the job - very economical and yet still lots of power.

Electric might not be my next car or the next, but maybe the one after that

I'm still trying to conceptualize EVs having mass adaptation in the marketplace. US sales of EVs while growing is still a minuscule percentage of total vehicles sold. :

No, that AMG believes that an M EV can compete with an M ICE. No way, no how for many years. Should be obvious.

Wow indeed. I love it more than any of BMW's concepts.

Those kidneys are very clever and I absolutely love the wheels.

Electric cars are a false dream..... Tesla will be bankrupt in 10 years. Long live the internal combustion engine!! Trust me I'm from the future.

It's got to start somewhere... not like a couple EV manufacturers pop up and take 60% market share.

It's hard to understand until you drive one for a day or two and realize how much fun the instant torque is... leaves you disappointed in all but the most exotic ICE cars. There needs to be more choice though for mass adoption. Not everybody likes (or can afford) Teslas so once BMW, Merc, Audi, Volvo, etc come out with compelling EVs there will be widespread adoption.

Pretty sweet design by the way!

Nice design exercise. Looks nice in some angles, kind of awkward in others.

I think I could appreciate a next generation M2 being like a mini McLaren P1. Small performance hybrid vehicle. ICE plus electric for performance boost. You get the best of both worlds.

Remember when the internet was niche? Remember when people wouldn't buy things online because it seemed dangerous? Remember when reality TV was a fad? Remember before your mother had a facebook account? Remember when we didn't have a reality TV star as president of the US? Remember when only business guys had cell phones? Remember when you had a cell phone but you thought it was ridiculous that children would own one? Remember when cell phone had buttons? Remember when people wouldn't ever think about paying over $500 for a phone? Remember when cell were not huge phablets? Remember when video on the internet was a joke and television was king? Remember when Netflix was a company that sent DVDs in the mail? Remember record stores? Remember movie rental stores? Remember when cars ran on gas?

Have some imagination. The future isn't difficult to see if you try.

Looks like we will be slowly force-fed until we accept then totally forget about the Dino-powered.

I subscribe to the theory that sales will drive success or failure. Regulations be damned. We will see!

Not too bad. The lack of grills rubs me the wrong way a bit. All and all it still looks aggressive like I personally expect of anything with an M badge.
