Not sure. Potentially M4 GTS? I just drove my buddy's and was blown away. I think what angers me about the M2 CS is they could have taken it a bit further and it would have made a huge diff. I suppose part of the appeal is if you have one performance car in your garage, the M2 CS is awesome bc it really is so drivable and usable. But I just think CF buckets, some firmer suspension, rear seat delete/roll bar, ceramics standard, and full titanium exhaust from factory would have gone a long way. I would have happily paid an extra $10k (even though I think 85k was steep in the first place). I honestly think if it had the new CF buckets, ceramics standard, and a louder exhaust you wouldn't be reading this.

Like I said, the car is pretty awesome but for whatever reason I just can't fall for it despite it, in theory, being my perfect BMW.
Don't be angry at the M2 CS. It's not for everyone. I drove the M4 GTS and it's fine if you like DCT. The one I drove had the $$$$$ buckets from a test car in Japan. On track I didn't drive it but I bet it's amazing. Not a very practical car on the street.

If you're collecting the M2 CS, make sure to keep the miles low and you will be rewarded handsomely down the road when you sell

Future value? The value now is crazy. There is one listed for 124k and another for 104 with manuals.

Pretty much anyone who bought for MSRP. Even on a trade to a dealer I made profit even accounting for taxes, etc. I drove the car for a profit.

Dang yeah mid 90s pretty much covers MSRP and even the highest state taxes. But I'm still not sure what other car at that price and size would entice me right now…

The CS on Carvana with 1984 miles went pretty quickly at $87,990. Car has steel brakes but DCT. From inspecting the close up of the front "blemish" it's apparent that it hit something up front enough to crack the plastic bumper cover - probably just cosmetic from the looks of it and a rather inexpensive fix.

If it was a 6MT I think MSRP plus destination is $84,595? Wasn't DCT an additional $2900? If so it's MSRP was ~$87,495, so it sold right near that.

This is all correct. I would have assumed that the Carvana car would have gone for around $90K without any damage. There was also a Carmax car that went for around this price that was DCT, as well.

Man, you got a killer deal. I paid full MSRP plus tax, plus full PPF/ceramic, plus H&R springs/install, my break even is mid $90s.

Nothing I'd rather get, except maybe the new Z06 or GT4 RS, but those will be in another league and not as practical.

I'm holding and enjoying the drive.

Yeah! Exactly!

Sell the CS and then what???

I just don't honestly know unless I'm going to throw in another $20-30K

I see that Congress mandated that by 2026 all new vehicles are required to have technology that detects drunk driving. Nobody is for drunk driving, but I'm thinking that good looking manual transmission driver's cars are going to be worth a lot in 10 years since they will be the opposite of EVs loaded with tech that either drives itself or monitors you while you are driving. Not that I'm ever going to sell my M2 CS.

I haven't yet, but dealers are starting to sell them for $105K+ now. It is getting very tempting to take a $20K profit and wait for a year or two to let everything settle down a bit.

I'm sure you would look back one day and be like, "damn, I wish I didn't do that". However if you needed the money for something that would be life changing, then go for it. Free money. Keep in mind the taxes.

Don't need the money and I would definitely wait until January to make it a long term capital gain, if I were to sell. It is not likely to happen, at this point, anyway, because getting into a P car is not going to happen given the shortages.

I think id be looking at the new lotus Emira. Looks much better imo than any pcar on the road right now. I'm a pcar fan, but that lotus is hot.

Yep, Emira on order but I am 90% sure I am keeping the M2 CS given that it's HS, Manual, CCB, gold wheels. Based on VIN chart on this forum 11 are in the U.S. Adding to the stable with Emira.
