I've never been a Corvette person. A split window 63? Sure. But the new Corvettes are gorgeous and a package to be reckoned with.
Unfortunately they depreciate like murder. My Chevy dealer buddy used to call them boomerangs. 3 months later and they were being traded back in, not because they were no good, but because the buyers came to their senses of what they were driving.

I've only owned one Corvette, a C5 Z06, but I've driven every iteration except the C3 and C4. The C8 Z06 looks to be the bargain of the century, except for the strange ADM world we are living in right now. GM does have the rule that you can't sell it for 6 months, or the warranty doesn't transfer, but I think speculators will be willing to wait that out. It would be great if it came in a three pedal fashion, but the transmission is PDK level and probably the one to get if you are going to see the track often. The standard C8 had more than I needed on the track. |

The c8 z06 is a dollar store Ferrari knockoff. Shouldn't even be called a corvette. |

I find it curious how so many BMW "so-called fans" love to hate on the C8 corvette, still don't get why...but to call the C8 crass, especially in light of BMW's recent design endeavors, that's a bit crass in and of itself.
I've had the pleasure of owning one and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it...and, yes - on the list for the z06. Can't wait. |

C6 z06 is the sweet spot right now for money to performance. I have no doubts the c8 will be fantastic.
The crossover market between bmw and the corvette has always been strong. We have an instructor in the Colorado bmwcca who fits the bill perfectly — you know he is driving a corvette within two minutes of meeting him because he tells you as much. Personally I can’t wait see a new z06 at a track session. I hope I can get a ride too! |

Any allocations available? I'm ok with ADM.

They stopped production. Only a few allocations came out. If you can get your hands on one you'd be very lucky. There are thousands of people on lists. My dealer stopped adding people after 200. That's why I gave up and got on the Eray/Zr1 list. At some point I'll likely try to pick one up used. At this rate they'll all be collectable because the C9 will be out before everyone can take delivery

At this point it is pointless to be on any lists for most cars, including the Vette.
I drive M cars but always liked the Corvette, especially the higher trims including the original ZR1. Got to drive the new Vette and it is very capable including the track. Ownership demographics have also changed significantly with the C8. |

I've been on the list since October of last year and don't expect to get mine until late next year...2023 model year run is limited to only about 300 units and all are spoken for. I'd venture a guess, given the demand and slower than initially anticipated production schedule, all of the 2024 model year cars are also off the table.

Man I wish I was in the circles of rich and powerful. I’m fighting for scraps.
Can you ask someone at Toyota to get me a GR Corolla allocation |
