Track day car number
Hey all, here's a newbie question - attending my first track day. The event requires the car number to be displayed on passenger and driver side doors. I will likely just use some masking tape to draw out the numbers - but for the future, where do you get pre-printed decals to put on the doors? Are these decals reusable, and are they safe to use over PPF / Ceramic coating?

I cannot answer your questions about vinyl being reusable or safe for PPF/ceramic coating. But I can provide a few links.
I strongly considered getting numbers from Track Decals first but I'm really picky on type and vinyl color. They do look quality and are affordable. The other place I thought about getting numbers from was Otto Druck. I like the aesthetic (albeit either a little classic, or typical) but again, couldn't find anything I was 100% satisfied with from an aesthetic POV. I ended up purchasing some fluorescent numbers from Demon Tweeks because I liked the touring car style. I run them on my window—you may want to check if your org will let you do the same. |

I bought these magnetic whiteboards for my car. I then put vinyl numbers on it (wife has a Cricut) but you can use masking tape or just use a dry erase marker too. My doors have PPF and ceramic coating and they stayed. For extra security I put a strip of tape over the leading edge, but I don't think it's necessary.

I've used trackdecals.com and this site also has some good ones: http://clubregistration.net.
Check 'em out.

I've been very pleased with the magnetic numbers/letters from these guys, and they're quite inexpensive.....

These may be a bit pricier than some others but I have been extremely happy with my magnetic numbers from Future Classics. They may also work with you to add some small customization if you have your own vision. They hold on great and I have had zero issues after many track days up to speeds of 160 MPH.
