IMO, the white color of the car is not doing the front bumper area a lot of good. All the hard edges designed into the front are starkly revealed and emphasized by the white finish. Unless that kind of "eye tooth" look appeals to you, a darker color may be able to subdue these "fangs" and, visually, place them more in the background.
Let's see, no white, no LBB, so that leaves black and grey. And I'm so trying to like this car. AAARRRRGGGGHHH!

Hmm this is a little over the top. This is giving me Lexus F finesse over the top. Hopefully the actual version will be a little more proportioned to the 2 series current body lines.

Not sure where expectations are for a render but surprised how many angry people are on here... It'll obviously look a little bit more natural in person vs the render but for a render I think it's awesome.

I'm going to agree with Adem on this, I think the proportions of the sketch are all out of whack.

The pics with the car covered in camo don't show such pronounced lines. It's definitely going to look better in person.

Well, with any luck, enough people will hate it and availability won't be so ridiculous this time around.

I hate the rear fenders on the side profile pic. I hope it has more...something to break up the boringness. This is my main complaint about the M4 too. Seems like the door back was unfinished.

Here you go, somethjng the render doesn't quite capture (how powerfully defined the rear arch is)

Much better. I think that render was missing some shadowing and depth. Thanks for posting

I've been saying this since i saw the camo cars, and the more I see this picture and the vision gt, the more I think there is a vent in that rear arch. I will continue believing it until the unveiling. I will either look like an idiot or feel like I can see through black swirls. My next project will be seeing through womens yoga pants at the gym.

The rear quarter panel on this one look very well balanced and aggressive to my eye. I agree with the earlier comments that the render doesn't quite catch this. But, thanks for posting the render - it has certainly generated some interesting opinions.

Scott26 - is it time yet to show us a real picture of the car ???? Please .....

Highly doubtful as it's an N55 which, in 300 hp form, dynos around 275.

The S55 is embarrassingly underrated but a complete animal which should've been used (de-tuned?) in the M2. But instead, the powers that be chose the N55 with MPPK version 2 to cut costs.

Not really. I'd be massively interested in the RS3 hatch if they sold it over here. Just like I'd be interested in the M135i hatch if it was sold over here. For me, if you're gonna do a hotted up small car, it needs to be a hatch or something nutty like a Boxster or the new Jag fastback. Not a three-box coupe. In that configuration, everything just looks squished to me. My opinion only though, and I'm a hatch guy.

Me thinks there's another vent in front of the rear wheels we're not seeing in the render.

It also needs a more defined rear wheel arch as hinted by the previous camo photos. I think if those two issues were fixed, 90% of the people bashing it would change their minds very quickly.
Here you go:

Apply this to the render and with LBB colour using this Atlantis Blue as a guide and let's see what it looks like please

The real thing will have a better flow, but the render was well done. And I agree with the pricing (the M2 should be more aggressive than the pricing).

I would imagine that we'll get 400+ on a dyno on a bone stock car.
