Anyone cross shopping or considering a Mustang GT Bullitt edition?
They are well equipped for around $50K so a good $10K cheaper than the M2C

I always thought the regular Mustang GT was not special enough and the GT350/GT350R is way too expensive.

Is this Bullitt version the real deal? Manual only !!
I would need to drive one before I even consider it instead of the M2C

I don't know about technically, but I took one look at the front of that car and stopped reading.

OP, I read the Jalopnik article and several others and the Bullitt does honestly look awesome. In terms of specs, that awesome Dark Highland Green, and the cue ball shifter, it's totally something that just oozes cool.

But... please don't crucify me... I could NEVER buy an American car. Just can't do it. Nope.

If Ford were willing to call it the BMW M-Bullitt or the Audi Quattro-Bullitt, put the appropriate badging on it, I might do it!

I think that it looks great, love the color, and V8 mustangs sound better than the m2. If it had better fit and finish I think i'd take one.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Matt Farah "may", just may, review the m2c slightly better than this.

I did cross shop mustang some, and while I obviously couldn't get hands on a Bullitt, I did drive a mustang gt with the pp2. Not quite the HP as the Bullitt will claim, but probably every bit a performer (if I recall, the Bullitt will only have the pp1 available, though I may be mistaken). Even though they seem to be similar on paper, in my opinion mustangs are a hard comparison to an M2 (or really even the 135i I used to own). Personally I don't find the mustang to have near the character of the M2. It's a lot of muscle, and would probably do well in a track comparison, but as a daily driver I find the M2 much more enjoyable. For me I would prefer less power and better driving dynamics, which I don't think the mustang offers at this time.

Looks worse than a regular Mustang GT. Is still basically a Mustang GT. I'd consider a GT350 only.

Lol, that car screams mid life crisis. It's obviously been built and marketed for baby boomers trying to relive their childhood fantasies. What's next? A 'Gone in 60 seconds' Eleanor edition? Give me a break

That being said, I might look at Eleanor if it's 50k.

Boy does it ever sound good though. For the money I would get a PP2 version instead as it gets 305 tires at every corner and looks better.

I must be one of the few here that's seriously considering the Bullitt. The Mustang never did anything for me and I agree the GT350 is too expensive. Just something about the Bullitt that gets me intrigued...also maintenance should in theory be much less than the M2.

I like it. I still like my M2 better if given the choice, but would get one if money was no object. Modern Mustangs are built differently now and can be taken to the track. I saw the Bullitt at the Atlanta car show and it looked nice in person.

The rental car interior of the Mustangs kill them for me. They build the interior to the base price point and it doesn't get better as you double or triple the price with the exception of the seats. Plus the ergonomics of all of Mustang and Camaro are terrible.

Forgot to mention it weighs 3850 lbs !! Green paint must be heavy

Damn, at the end there, he was pretty brutal. Before watching this video, I was thinking, "Wow. How cool that they're naming this Bullitt and creating all this movie-specific customization." After that review, I feel like a total poseur for even having thought that. He called it "cheesy"!

Choose Alfa for the Italian exotic feeling, M3 for a mod happy project, ATS-v for American luxury with your power.
