They will easily reach $85k and above. Think about the M4 CS, it carries about a 41% premium over a M4 with Comp pack. The M4 already has a carbon trunk and carbon roof baked into the base price. Regardless of how well the CS and GTS sold in the US, the M2 is starting more bare bones minus some expensive carbon panels(hood/roof). Also the CS/GTS have sold well outside the US, GTS have held their values much better overseas. I don’t see US market dictating price of the M2 CS.

This car has got the potential to be the best M of this era. I really hope they make it drive as nice as the M3/M4 CS and not as technical (and scary) as the GTS.
Many have said it before but the price needs to be attractive and attainable as with the other versions of the M2 not crazy money like the CS/GTS. Best part; no crazy wing in the back! |

It's not like they made thousands more to affect the prices that much. BMW ended up making ~100 more M4 GTS, which shouldn't cause a $35K price drop. Regardless, even if BMW had made only, say, 100 M4 GTS, it still wouldn't have been worth $130K. The problem of GTS isn't the exclusivity.
