Put in the JXB Performance driveshaft carrier last night. Have to say I am very impressed with JXB. They packaged it really well and everything in the kit feels like a quality piece. I’ve bought hundreds of parts over the years and I think this one by far has been the most solid feeling piece yet.
I’ve been searching for a solution for an extremely annoying vibration that I feel in the driveline for quite some time and unfortunately I have not yet solved it. But I will say that this has solved a different problem that I was not necessarily looking for a cure for just yet. Yes it did help with some of the vibrations, I’ll give it that, but not a substantial amount. But what it did was clean up the extra slop that I had in the drivetrain. Not sure how it is with the dct cars but those in a manual may understand what I’m talking about. That clunk and shudder that you feel in the pedals and from the car when you’re at speed and take your foot off the gas and reapply it. Also seems to have fixed the shudder when moving from a stop. Is it a mod I would say everyone needs? Not necessarily, most people will have no issue with these things. But it definitely is a mod that will make the driving experience more enjoyable and I’m sure will be beneficial to longevity of the differential and other components when they’re not clunking around anymore. The search for the vibration fix continues, my next stop is going with softer bushings for the diff. I love hearing the sound of the diff whining and I love how solid the car now feels but the vibration is driving me nuts. If it was constant in all gears and rpm’s it wouldn’t drive me as crazy but it only seems to happen at a specific rpm (3-4K) and usually in 3rd, 5th and sometimes 6th gear. Anyways, sorry for the long write up, but figured I’d share my experience so far with the JXB part if anyone is interested in getting one. Pics below

Removed the 45% window tint using the trash bag method, It worked like a charm.
I had 45% (light) tint IMO it looked awful as it mixed with the factory green tint. This car needs 35% or darker to cover the green, personally not a fan of dark tint on a car like this, so off it went! |

The previous owner put really dark tint on mine (its like 10%-15% i think). I'd rather have 30%~ at the darkest but I haven't gotten around to dealing with it. |

What did I do with my M2C today?
Kept it. (and gave it a bath). My local BMW dealership emailed me today though, and kindly let me know that they'd be willing to help get me out of my M2C..... and into a M240i. Huminawha? R.
