Winter is coming....
Noticed the temperature dropping in the last week with colder roads and the car is definitely a bit more traction limited and lively at the rear with a little extra throttle control required to get it to hook up.
Still enthralled by my first M car and just how well balanced it is. I suppose it will wear off but 3 months in still can't believe I run one even though winter is coming..... Anyone going to run winter tyres? |

Not going to run winters no. A roads and Mway to work for me and I could avoid the tea if needs be. Also ran the more powerful M4 in 2 winters no problems. Just driving sensibly does the trick for me.
Even my dealer said he wouldn't sell me winters, he felt in these parts (Chester / North Wales) it wasn't needed. I do like how BMW store your 'off set' though. Handy.

Am with chris on that one, driven rear wheel most of my life and never bothered with winter tyres. Am up in Scotland, so its typically wet with odd snow ice (roads are well gritted in my area) and most highways etc are fine so never had an issue, just been more sensible with the accelaration. Only owned my M2 for 5 days now and am starting to learn its bite points in the wet so you should be ok.
