After months of deliberating and trying to pursuade myself that this is the car for me, last weekend I finally placed an order for an M2.

LCI, long beach blue, manual, and a few other bits.

I was surprised to see and LCI in the showroom and was also told there are 2 available allocations. I was expecting a very long wait for delivery but they're currently estimating towards the end of October. I managed to get a small discount off as well.

My dealer 4 weeks after ordering that it's ready for collection so may get lucky 👍 Congrats on the new purchase

Got an update today. Car is due to start production imminently and estimated delivery is week 42. That’s 3 weeks away!

Not had an update since the last one a few weeks ago. Production week 39, estimated delivery week 42. No idea on the current status but I'd be hoping its on the way by now at least. Still determined not to pester my dealer and patiently wait for the call.

It's getting harder and harder to wait now... I'm out of YouTube videos to watch about the car and anything remotely related to it!

Suppose I should count myself lucky I'm not waiting 12 or 18 months for it!

Picked mine up 10 days ago, initially was after a pre-reg but was too expensive, however they found a new one in the system for me with decent spec and preferred manual, at a much cheaper price.

Up to 500 miles now and enjoying it, need to book the service

Gave a little clean today with all my new kit. First time using a foam cannon, loved it.

Although I've noticed one of my valve caps has either fell off or been stolen. Dunno why anyone would only take one. One of the other ones was really loose so I'm guessing it's just fell off. When my wife got her new car, who had branded VW ones, all 4 got stolen within a few days. Tw**s!

Anyone know where to get replacement silver ones from? I can only find black ones.
