F80 KW v3 on F87

Hi all, are KW v3 dampers the same between F80 and F87 with the only difference being the spring rates?

Note I am referring to non EDC F80 KW v3s.

Thanks!

Well, I answered my own question by installing them. They worked perfectly.

I just got into an F87 and know very little about the F8x platform..

Is there a reason you would buy a set of KW V3’s that were meant for the F80 and install them on your F87?

Any benefits or difference in price maybe?

easier to find used parts off m4's and m3's since more were made.

What VGSON said. Makes sense when buying parts in the used market. In the case of KW V3, the difference is the helper spring rate and the bump stop are different in the rear. Fronts are identical. I tracked the car yesterday and the F80 KW V3s worked fine on my f87.

This is great info that's going to get lost in a sea of information on Bimmerpost. Thanks for figuring it out!
