The tach also appears in Comfort and Adaptive mode, you don't need to be in Sport mode to have a tach.

The Nissan 400Z shows how far BMW has gone off the rail on enthusiasts...it's based on a 20 years old chassis yet far more exciting than any of the upcoming products from BMW. It has a proper manual handbrake, 6MT, tachometer in the centre of the dashboard.

The A90 Supra is rumoured to have a 6MT coming in the horizon.

The S2000 is also rumoured to be revived in a light weight chassis coupled with a 2L Type R engine and a 6MT

Mazda is also looking to revive the RX7

Exciting stuff on the JDM side and I am very much looking forward to it. Unless BMW somehow manage to make the G87 M2 exciting or somehow revives the Z4M, I am pretty much done with M cars

This is an example of why BMW should Dutch it's marketing team and hire someone with "talent"

Good change is fine (interior), bad change not so much (exteriors) - no doubt boomers and all other customers can vote with their wallets. Let's see how many people buy an IX vs the IDX, EQC and Model X and Y. We'll then see how BMW has gone in winning over new customers given how hard they seem to be trying to alienate their loyal ones.

LOL

Can't argue with logic, or with Artemis (which in itself would be illogical)

So we all agree BMW needs a rethink of it's marketing nonsense!

one of my favorites too
G80 M3 / G82 M4:
Love everyone of them especially the Italian Job.

Proves the point though, all of these ads are from an era when cars were cars, drivers were drivers, and BMW was fun

This is what BMW used to feel like

This is how it's beginning to feel

especially now with bigger, uglier, Titanic G8x

and that's why if BMW doesn't soon begin to address the fundamental underlying problems they are facing, as I've heard from many other BMW lovers, the M2CS (in my case) will probably be the last 'NEW' BMW I'll ever purchase again

About the 1M: there was - apart from the "Walls" and "Perfect Balance" ads - also the "Helipad" ad:

Love the James Brown vid. Need to dig out that DVD I got a couple of years after the E39 540i. Packed with short films that are both amusing and interesting (from artistic and enthusiast perspectives).
