MSS suspension kit for M2C
Want to share my experience with the MSS adjustable spring kit. Install findings. Overall comfort review. And their excellent customer service.
Have done 300 miles on them already. Still not properly aligned in the rear, fronts should still have OEM alignment but the drop might have changed things... 1. Running 0.25" drop all around, based on the separation of the adjustable plates being 0.75" apart. Rears definitely dropped more than the fronts, gonna have to adjust for that. But from eye balling looks like rears went down 0.5" and fronts 0.25". 2. For sure more comfort. The bumps on the road are much smoother and the comfort in longer distance drives is improved a lot. 3. More compliant. When punching through entrance/exits on highway the bumps are less bouncy in the rear. Soaks it in much better. Notes: no issues with sqeaking, only happened in the very beginning but that's gone. No complaints at all really. Only thing weird is the rear springs are kinda slanted but KW HAS and MSS pics show this is normal so oh well, functions fine. Handling score 9/10 Bang for buck if you purchased at a discount like I did. Full value 900$ I'd lower the rating a bit but still this is the route to go if you want cosmetic enhancement, some comfort, and cost efficiency. Not 10/10 cause the there is still remnants of the OEM shock bounciness, still a solid improvement. Customer service 11/10 They ship replacement parts from UK to US next day. Got replacement parts in 3 business days!!!!! |

Thanks man but come on M car and new suspension can you comment on real dynamic back road driving please?
I rang a UK garage he was honest with me and said MSS wouldn't offer much on the M2 but more on the 235/240i. So I didn't go ahead. Thanking you sir |

There is a lot more compression normally. During spirited drives im noticing less of the bouncing effect, much less. It is softer though so the extra compression adds some lag on the initial turn. If there was a slightly stiffer option, would be sick. I could lower it a tad more and test it there. No body roll tho, which is good.

I have to say people complain of body roll mist be absolutely caning it round corners as to me my car is lovely and flat.
There is the track MSS kit variant, whether it's streetable to you though? |

If was a modest performance upgrade end result, nothing major, but a more streetable and flat ride forsure. That variable cosmetic boost is nice too. |

Thanks for your feedback. A tuner shop I rang in the UK were honest with me saying MSS makes a bigger difference on the M lites.
For the M cars he was recommending Ohlins coilovers. He's an ex racing driver. |
