Black M2 CS badges (poll added)

Anyone ripping off the chrome M2 CS badges for black gloss badges either OEM or from IND?

If I were to do the black trunk lid badges, my OCD would make me want to also paint the chrome M2 on the kidney grilles (IND sells this).

Thoughts on veering away from chrome on a CS being that black badges are typically designated to ZCP cars?

Which ones did you get? I had ordered IND black painted ones for my X7 M50i but I sent them back since the "//M" trim is difficult to paint and noticed imperfections.

Instead, I ordered OEM black badges from Schmiedmann (Europe) since US couldn't sell them.

Anyone know if BMW even makes OEM black gloss badges for the M2 CS? I reached out to Schmiedmann but haven't heard back.

I ordered the IND gloss black ones. Couldn't really get a high resolution picture from them to see what the black chrome looked like.
I'd be interested if you could find an OEM one.
Can you also share the link to the CS front grille with black badge?
Thanks.

I thought about it. Even tried to get IND to make some custom badges, However I actually like the contrast provided by the stock badges.

I wanted some throwback badges with the gold trim.

I also did gloss black along with gloss black Acexxon rear reflector delete. Regardless of what the matte or chrome look like I figured this would match best with the rest of the black trim pieces (side markers, kidneys, hood vent). It's all supposed to arrive tomorrow so I'll post up some good pics when I receive them!

I would grab some gold badges if they were available.

As much as it seems cool, the gold would give me bad flashbacks of the 90s!

I OEM'd black badged my OGM2 and then had black badge as stock when swapping to comp.
I actually really like the chrome badge on the CS (I have BSM CS so it pops nicely) as it works well with the exhaust tips.
I do have CCBs and would def go for an OEM gold badge but they've never made one, and likely never will.
For some that have asked, there is no OEM "CS" part to add to OEM black comp badge sadly.
Has to be a respray/IND jobby or stick with the chrome.

I think for the gold badging to work with the gold wheels, it would have to be exactly the same color and finish, otherwise it would look horrible.

Agreed, but I don't have gold wheels.
I just want the gold badge to tie in with the gold callipers.
Side on view of the car, the callipers really pop against the BSM paint work and gloss black wheels.

Absolutely, a 'done right' gold badge would be my top preference (+/- vintage-looking gold BMW logos) but no one's doing that right now, so black it is.

I think I would fully debadge but I would replace the trunk and hood roundels to eliminate the chrome. If I picked black wheels I would even get painted floating center caps.

All theory here. I don't own this car.

I'd want to, but my OCD would wonder if I could ever get the emblems back on the exact same spot.

My X7 came with crooked badges from the factory.

Dealer put on the gloss black badges for me and did not put them on the same exact spot either ugh but they did offer to rebadge.
