On the M2 the standard and coilover plates are different. You will need a different set of plates when using coilovers.

To be sure, you mean complete new Camber Plates, is that correct?

No, this thread is very old. It says directly on the Vorhlag web page that if you upgrade from OEM type spring to a coilover you just replace the perch part, not the whole plate. I don't know the cost but I'm planning to inquire when I go for coilovers.

The way they designed these plates with as little space available is incredible. Machining and tolerances are fabulous! Huge bearings for long service life and yes, if you run a OEM/lowering springs set they can swap out the lower perch if you go coilovers. Not sure if you can go the other way though?
Mine are set to 2.5 camber and zero toe for aggressive street.
When I max the camber plate it goes to 3.4 and I end up with 1/16" total toe out.
OEM shocks and Swift springs.
👍👍

Thanks, I'm planning on putting on some Vorshlage Camber Plates after Tracking my M2 with Stock Suspension for three years now. I've taken it as far as I can in Stock form, and am ready to upgrade the suspension. Would be good if I could use them on Coil-overs down the road.

Vorshlag Camber Plates

Am about to install Vorshlag Camber Plates, and have researched the crap out of getting top nut tightened, which seems to be a common problem with installing these. All shock manufacturers state never use an impact wrench while tightening Top Nut. Vorshlag's Video says always use an Impact Wrench when tightening or it will cause bearing failure. I don't understand why using the proper Open end Socket Wrench and nut to prevent shaft from spinning is considered by Vorshlage to be the improper way to tighten this nut. Any installers with hands on experience have any input on this.

Richard, don't worry about getting the nut tight.
There's a lower strut shaft bushing that will end up butting to the top nuts once assembled.
Bench assemble everything and you'll see what I'm talking about. Once it's in the car for real you'll hear your impact bottom out after a few bumps.
I've got 250 mi on mine after install and it's perfect. 👌👌

Thanks, much appreciated. Will be ordering them soon.

On the drop down menu what Strut Type would you choose if you had BMW M Performance Suspension? Is it same as OEM? Are these in stock?

Although the top hat is the same, but for KW you will need to specify a 12 or 14mm shaft.

Do you know if there is enough clearance on the inner diameter of nut to fit a 10mm socket through to the strut hex?

No not on mine. Mine came pre assembled to Ohlins Coil-Overs. I took out OE Coil-Overs with Top-Hat still connected, and installed new Coil-Overs with Vorshlage Plate installed by 3DM Suspensions. You will need a set of Pass-Through Sockets for that.

These are the latest and greatest Vorshlag camber plates for the F8X M2C M3 M4 using OEM style springs and struts.
