Vorshlag's F87 M2 camber plate

A little sneak preview for you guys on the new Vorshlag Camber Plates for your F2x F3x and F8x, including the M2.

The tricky part was keeping the stack-up height of the camber plate + perch + radial bearing at the stock height, so the car isn't raised or lowered.

Vorhlag never made a camber plate + perch this short, but the new BMW top mounts are all going to this super short stack.

The new assembly uses a unique radial bearing and assembly procedure that lowers the stack up height of our assembly by nearly 40%. Very exciting - nobody else is doing this design as short or with a proper steel, sealed radial bearing for the spring perch. Other designs we've seen use a plastic radial bearing which has a very short lifespan. The spherical is in the upper bearing holder and allows the shaft to pivot relative to the plate. The spring pivots against the perch, just like the OEM top mount design BMW uses now. The large diameter billet upper spring perch fits the stock spring and also allows for re-using the factory rubber isolator above the spring.

Design has been finalized and in production. Luckily there's no laser cut or other outside pieces they need, so they can machine this 100% in-house - no delays.

We are looking at about 4 weeks before these plates are ready to ship.

No solid fitment has been confirmed. However, other brands of F2x and F3x plates have been used on M2 a number of times already.

Here is MCS with TCKR F2x/F3x plates for F87 M2.

Yes and no. The F87 M2 uses a none M camber plate, which is available now, but fitment has not been completely confirmed.

Tell Terry @ Vorshlag if they need a donor car then I am sure we can locate one.

@paradoxical3 - I've run multiple sets of GC PLATES on E30 and switched to Vorshlag on that E30 and My 1M prototypes ( which also are for E9x) are excellent.

Highly recommended.

Nothing yet.

We have sold M235i or none M plates for M2 applications using coilovers already so we know the similarities. However, Vorshlag still needs to confirm fitment using stock profile struts and springs. Anyone close by should contact Vorshlag.

Geez I remember when the protos were started from my friend's M235i about 9 months ago.
If you want these , I suggest you drive your car over there and stand on Terry's head.

It's a better product, plus maybe you can get a little love for being a beta tester.

It worked for me and that's how they made plates for the 1M and E90..

E9x guys just don't show enough appreciation ..

Not officially for the M2 with OE struts and springs. We have sold them for coilovers as they are the same as M235i.

Give Jon or Jason at Vorshlag a call. Your interest will hurry them along to get the plates on the market.

Sorry, meant to say for the M Performance Coil-overs. Will do! Thanks
