Matte Black 763?

Dumb question....everyone refers to our wheels as black but refers to the gold wheels as Matte Gold.

Are our wheels Matte black? They sure do look gloss to me. Maybe that's because I'm putting regular wheel cleaner on them?

The stock / standard wheel for the CS is 1tn. This is the jet black 763m . It should be glossy .

The ordering guide calls out the Matte gold wheels in 1tq and 1tr.

I think some of the confusion is from the 763m performance wheel option that has the barrel / lip stamped with m performance . I think that is technically a black Matte wheel.

I don't have part numbers in front of me to check.

Has anyone come across the gloss black wheel part numbers versus the matte black wheel part numbers (which I have already)?

I was surprised when I saw the CS in person. The black wheels are definitely what I would consider gloss black. I had my gold 763 wheels refinished in semi gloss black and I think I like a little better. Not sure.

Both look great and as others have said, gloss black turns to semi or matte in about 15 minutes worth of driving ;-)

From what I can gather they actually list multiple part numbers on the back, for the multiple finishes

I love the fact that they not only used Jet Black instead of the standard Matte Black, but also removed the MPERFORMANCE logo.

Thanks for bringing up a good point. Did they do Gloss Black for all CS wheels. Including M3 and M4?

M3CS and M4CS wheels are matte Orbit Grey. Also, M3CS/M4CS rear wheel size is 20".

Nice so only the M2CS has Gloss black 763's. Probably why they did it. Just adding to the uniqueness.

BTW that Matte Orbit Gray is a beautiful color !

One of the reasons I went for gloss black was because it was unique to the M2 CS. I plan on ordering the m-performance frozen gold 763 with proper track tyres as a spare set as they are the same finish as the CS gold but for the m-performance lettering.
