My dealer requested the car be placed on top at the rear to minimize exposure to road grit, as the car will be traveling over at least one and possibly two mountain passes in winter. That probably led to the delay. I'll take it.

Mine just changed from at port to in transit yesterday or the day before. I haven't asked about which boat it's on come to NJ. Do I ask my CA?

Yes although I simply emailed BMW USA at bmwgenius@bmwusa.com

They always responded within 24 hours the 4-5 times we corresponded during my "journey".

Thanks, shot them an email this morning and heard back within a couple hours. My car is on Sunshine Ace... will be in NY on 1/27. Looks like I will be getting the car by end of the month or early february..

I am also on Sunshine Ace!

I mentioned a few posts back that this itinerary was not listed on WW, KLine, and NYK so it was a pleasant surprise.

Or do you think it's possible that they changed the port of my car to NJ? I also looked for an itinerary of the Sunshine ACE and came up with nothing. BMW Genius quotes the arrival time at port for me of 27 Jan.

Usually they stop at multiple ports as they head south down the east coast. The 1/27 date could possibly just be the next stop they see?

The ships usually stop up north first then head down the coast so yes I would assume that to be the case.

Also, Sunshine Ace is incorrectly listed as destination Baywood, NJ which is certainly not the case. Likely scenario is that the crew keyed in "BAY" into the AIS system and that came up instead of Bayonne (NJ).

I found that we won't have visibility into the itinerary unless there's a subscription of some sort. Worst case I assume Port Baltimore might come before GA but that's a guess.
