The 450hp version (or rather, option) is a complete package and does not get unlocked by simply plugging in the black power stick.
BMW remotes in and changes things in the car once the complete package is installed. They even verify that all the components have been installed. I'm speaking from personal experience with this car.

I gotcha. We're talking about the same thing. My question was more along the lines of, is the 450whp option available yet.

I was told by an M2 CSR owner that you can and that it is a package (ie includes parts too). If I remember correctly, $40k additional.

The standard 22gal tank (around $8000) works with a different low pressure fuel pump. However, there are many reports of the fuel pump dying very prematurely, within a thousand miles. It's a different part number than the regular M2 one.

Pretty sure the floor pan also needs to be adjusted, although that might be for the bigger tank.

In essence the rear seat bump is inverted to keep the cell in the car.

What I can tell you is that having the dash report laptimes and show if your a tenth up/down using the green/red lights is ace
