M2C MODE Air - Front Mounted CAI

Did a quick search and didn't see anything about this product - if it's a repost, apologies.

Not here to debate the whole CAI topic (loss of power, stock airbox is better, just drop BMC, etc. etc.).

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the tuner MODE (out of AUS - perhaps locals can provide input?) and specifically this product:

https://modeautoconcepts.com/product...22439584235638

Pardon the ignorance, but they seem to be the only one offering an actual F87 M2C front mount - the rest from what I've seen were trial installs from the F82/F80 platform (which didn't seem to work well on F87).

Thanks in advance!

$2k for an intake? I highly doubt you'll see any HP from this. Also not a fan of seeing intakes in the grill but that's just me. Looks a bit eehhh "ghetto"

I'm definitely curious myself, I've never heard of mode concepts but it looks well made and better fitting than the agency power for sure

That's a ridiculous design. If you get rain, you soak the filters. They're constantly bombarded with sand and road debris. If there's some dirty water sprayed onto the car, then they get clogged much faster.

Im not familiar with them, but considering the ETA on the product says Available on 07/12/2021, I bet they do not sell any of these intakes, and that's why they have not yet realized the ETA is six months due

Shipping to the US from AU is big bucks.
3 years ago I went to order an oil cooler bracket from Advan Performance. Adam was a big help, but the cost was over 3x the amount of the bracket ($75). Probably closer to 4x these days.

Like what Mike said. Wonder if they even sell a lot of the site isnt updated.

Another alternative front CAI is Project Gamma. Seen them posted before on the F80 forums.

Yea stock ftw, but maybe OP will only drive on nice days. Was looking at the project gamma links I posted above. From their FAQ:

Q: Can I drive in the rain with my filters?
A: Driving in rain is fine- just don't spray water directly at your filters.

I wonder how much I would trust the filters to repel water lol.....
