Smile CS coding transforms the car

Not sure what subforum to put this in as it effects several systems so it's here.

My car has pretty much every mod Dinan offer except the exhaust. I have enjoyed it quite a bit but it has not been perfect and I have at times missed my e90 M3. The CS coding has given it new life and has made it close to the perfect car for me.

The steering is now super responsive and much more linear- move the wheel a bit to the left and you instantly feel the right side bolster pushing against your side- as quickly as if yoiur hand movement did it directly- spooky feeling. I used to have to anticipate curves as they came up and have to start moving the wheel due to the lag- no more!

In Sport the transmission is almost always in a lower gear. The slightest incline or acceleration on the highway drops it bfrom 7th to 6th. More importantly in local driving it's a gear lower and more responsive coming out of 90 degree turns. Yes manual shifting and very agressive driving can do this but the great thing is now you can feel a greater sense of eagerness in casual driving.

Sharp turns just FEEL better- as if the suspension has been upgraded- don't know if it's the differential software or the steering but it's quite a difference.
Again not sure why but exhaust sound in the car is a bit louder but deeper and steadier- I think it's from having ASD turned off. Highly recommended.

Overall cannot think of a better way to spend $350 on an M2C. Based on cost of other mods and relative benefit I would say it's worth 20-30 times the cost.

It was done at Auto Coutre in Fairlawn NJ. They "have a guy" who makes a package of what you want and they install it. My ECU is not locked (8/18 build) so not certain. I do know it is seperate from an engine flash but I am not sure it is blocked as engine flash would be with a locked ECU. I THINK you can code features with a locked ECU but not certain. Ask for Matt there- he is very easy to work with.

The M2C already has M2 CS steering setting. At least, they do in 2020 and later when people have looked at it. If they set it to F87 CS, you're being tricked or perhaps the change is from something else, because that's the default setting. Maybe they set it to M4 GTS settings for you?

Maybe it is different because mine is a 2019 (8/18) build). I understand that subtle things can be imagined but the steering effort needed in Sport+ is MUCH higher- way beyond what could be imagined. We discussed GTS and one of the employees there said he had GTS and hated it and had it removed so I was very clear (in writing in Email to coder) I wanted CS not GTS.
