What would you change?

There are a couple of threads out there about M2 color, but I am curious 1) what color car you bought, and 2) if you would change it. I love BSM and LBB, but BSM seems like a nightmare to maintain. Would love to hear your thoughts on the color you have and how difficult (or not) it has been to maintain.

I bought an AW M2. With my M Performance parts I love the black and white contrast.

Maintenance is simple. White tends not to show dirt. So even when it is a little dirty it still looks great.

My LCI is in LBB. Out of all the colors for that model year, it's my favorite. Maintenance isn't too bad with a ceramic coating on it.

However, if SO was available, I would have taken that in a heart beat

LBB - ultra easy - wouldn't change a thing.

I got a HS, and I literally have people roll down their windows at traffic lights and ask me what color that is, and tell me they love it. No one says "nice car" , but they do say they love the color

Long Beach blue and wouldn't change. Way too many cars that are black, white, every shade of silver and gray... YAWN!

I'm not an orange car guy at all, but damn if SO hasn't captured me as well.

I too have Pre-LCI LBB - and if Sunset Orange was an option when I had purchased mine, I too would chosen that color.

LBB as it goes from dark blue to greenish-blue in bright sunlight.

I have HS. I like how it looks, and I have no regrets. But I wish BMW had kept Mineral Grey, because that's 100 percent what I would've gone with. I love a nice dark grey and the last two cars i've bought i've settled. First in my 350Z with "Silverstone" which is about 2 shades too light, and now with HS, which is like 5 shades too light for what I really want.

Good, but not dark enough:

Oh well. I don't like flashy colors (for me) even If I think the car looks fantastic in LBB and SO.

In a perfect world, I'd have a nice dark teal, maybe leaning slightly more toward green than blue. This is a nice wrap. I'd probably go a little bit more blue than this.

VW's "great falls green" is awesome, one of my favorite colors on a modern car.

Their "racing green" is similar as well. Dunno which i would prefer, but I love both of these colors.

LBB is easy to take care of. In a perfect world I could have gotten San Marino Blue, Interlagos Blue, or something like British racing green.

Bought HS (Wish it was darker)

WANTED FREAKING RED (Orange is not a suitable substitute)

LBB is too flashy for me and I don't like blue.

Black = Maintenance nightmare.

HS Maintenance is astonishingly simple. Much easier than white and hides almost everything. And yes, my M4C was white so I have personal experience with both.

Still, I WANT RED @BMW

Went with BSM since I wanted an LCI. It's a nightmare to keep clean and I've basically given up on it.

Still, it's my favorite of the 4 options I had. To me BSM has this mean and menacing look that doesn't come through on the other colors.

However if SO was available, I would have jumped all over it. I generally prefer colors that are more unique (red!) and SO just really appeals to me.

I sense a theme that BSM is a pain to keep clean. Living in Ohio - either rain, dust, or salt - this would be a nightmare.

Has anyone experimented much with wraps? I'm curious how that works around door jams where the color is different.

Black is a part time job no matter where you live

You can easily wrap the door jams as well

Agree pretty much entirely - even on the SO option if it was available in 2018. I washed and waxed my BSM on Monday, and had to go to the store later in the day. It was already starting to look dirty when I got home.

Given the choice of any color, LSB or fire Orange might be cool. I wonder how Byzanz would look.

I would have liked to snag a LBB now owning white (little boring but flys under radar hard)

In a perfect world I would have loved a fun green or purple paint job option

I really really want/would change the interior of the OG M2, I absolutely hate it. Its so boring for such a rowdy fun spirited car. Have a red option with better front seats or even bring back the Mrain fabric or Modena Color option. Something other than what they put, it just feels like a major after thought where they said MEH even though IMO it's the best car they make right now

I had a BSM M235i and it was a nightmare in Michigan. That car never looked clean for more than a day, and I’m a hand washer only so it had very few days where it looked it’s best. The photo below is how it looked 95% if its life- Never again.

My AW M2 has been a much better experience. Looks clean much much longer and like another person said, just looks so good with carbon fiber accents and tint. The color itself isn’t very interesting but the car as a whole definitely is. My one complaint is that non-metallic paint does a poor job of showing off the rear fender flares.

Mineral Grey is the most boring to me... I just don’t think it suits this car well.

LBB would be my choice if I weren’t buying used/looking for the best deal. It’s very pretty and unique. Only thing I dislike is that metallic paint shows swirls faster than flat colors, and is harder to touch up.
