Charge Pipe Suggestion with CSF intercooler
Hi,
Could anyone suggest the best charge pipe option to pair with CSF IC in terms of fitment prospective? I'm running DCT OG M2. I want to ensure there is no future concern for boost leak. |

Any proven brand will work, VRSF, Active Autowerke or Evolution Racewerks

I had trouble matching the VRSF charge pipe with the CSF intercooler. Stock charge pipe fits perfectly. Not sure if my situation is common or a one-off.

I recommend you contact VRSF or CSF with pictures and they will help figure out why you are having this problem

Yep. In process of contacting VRSF, but in the spirit of full disclosure, thought my experience should be shared. I am by no means a DIY novice either.

Basically had to loosen the mounting of the intercooler, mate the pipes, then tighten the mounting of the intercooler to get it to work/fit. No problems in one year and about 9,000 miles. |

im having a massive head ache with my CSF cooler and ER charge pipe. i have probably had a boost leak for 2 years now but only noticed it with the custom tune loosing 5 psi.
i cannot get the bottom half of the cp to line up with the top the angle is completely different and if i do align them then the cp has to sit at an angle from the cooler which creates a leak. is there any other cp one would recommend?

OG M2 DCT also. I'm RHD vs my American friends if that makes any difference to clearance.
I've got CSF intercooler and FTP charge pipe. It was a bit of a fiddle to get it hooked up but there was no forcing or misalignment - just the nature of the beast with a tight fit. No boost leaks :-) Whatever pipe you use, just make sure you tighten up the mid section silicone joiner last. Have it loosely in place but don't clamp it down until the throttle body end and the intercooler end are both securely fastened. You'll thank me later. |
