Finally got my winter set-up fitted and just in time for the snow last week. 2Forge ZF02 8.5x19 gunmetal ET25 with 245/35 and 255/35 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4s.
Originally was planning on 235/35 for the front to match the OEM winter tyre sizes but the 245 was cheaper. Had a nightmare getting the TPMS valve to seat correctly on one wheel, had to have it swapped out 3 times as it kept leaking air (new OEM valves) but finally sorted. Wheel weights appear, based on nothing other than lifting the wheel, to be similar to OEM for the front and but lighter for the rear (much narrower rim). Had a good opportunity to try in snow a few days ago - car easily went up a quite steep hill with two inches of snow whereas my dad couldn't get his front drive car (on normal tyres) up the hill and even coming down from the top was tricky for him. Overall, performed much better than I expected. Photos below. |

Do I understand that you think camber plates require spacers? Can you explain why you think that? Camber plates do not affect wheel->strut or wheel face->brake clearance.

Spacers also mess up geometry by changing scrub radius and put unnecessary load onto ePAS steering rack and associated joints/swivels....

Are you using camber plates or is the camber just from lowering on H&R springs ? Either way, your car's stance looks great !!!

Thanks Man! I just have the lowering springs, no other modifications to the suspension, It's even the stock alignment. I had it on the alignment rack at BMW after the springs were installed and it was still within spec.
