UPDATE: Ohlins confirmed there was excessive bushing play and replaced the bushings under warranty (the same part numbers - there is no improved design). They suspect that my original bushings were originally out of spec and led to wear happening so quickly. I will report back when I receive my struts back and can re-install them.

FINAL UPDATE: Fixed! I re-installed my Ohlins front struts today and the noise is gone! Here is what Ohlins noted on my invoice:
------------------
"BMS1R4021C and BMS2R4021C. Bushing play was 125 to 18 thousandths. After bushing taken out, one set had light wear and the other was heavy wear. Replaced bushings. New bushings measured as they should."
------------------
They replaced the following parts:
P/N 05371-01 Bushing 40/44/20 (DDK) [Qty 4]
P/N 10211-01 Scraper Strut Casing 36 R&T Car [Qty 2]

As I noted in my previous post, I emailed them and they suspect the bushings were likely out of tolerance from the factory which led to the premature wear. They didn't say it, but other threads suggested that Ohlins had a bad batch of bushings. Whatever the case may be, I'm just happy it's fixed!

Good to hear. I have sent mine off for repair under warranty also. Although I switched to M Performance Coilovers as I didnt want the car off the road. I'm quite happy with them.

Last night my front start knocking again. Even on wobbly straights. When I turn my wheel it’s like something is stock and will break off.
Also the sound when turning the wheel is unbearable.

Don’t if you can open this link for the video

Yep that's the noise, I'm about to have my bushings replaced again (3rd time). They were initially replaced under warranty and were quiet for about 40-45K km. I had them replaced when I was having all 4 shocks services @60K km but the noise returned after only 4K km, shop must have been supplied the faulty bushings! Fortunately I can remove/re-install the struts and the shop looks after me with an alignment, a pia though as otherwise I really like the Ohlins and how easy they are to adjust.

Mine had this knockings from the start.
I had the creaking steeringwheel once before and when the shop lifted The car they couldnt find anything.

Drove home and no sound anymore.
So looks like of the tension is gone on the suspension everything sits normal again.

It’s a shame when you have to renew your bushings 3 times for such a brand

I went the an Öhlins service shop Here and after a short drive they intantly said the bushing.

I still got warranty so they gonna start a procedure to switch the front struts for a new set or renew the bushings.

that's definitely NOT the Ohlins strut bushing noise, sounds more like the spring not properly seated in the top bearing causing it to bind/catch.
