Ok ok, my bad on the wordage, what I should have said is that it's an ///M car specific badge. Any bmw can option/buy M Performance components.

All good, I just want to keep the logo I guess.
I'm with you on the trim piece keeping the ///M badge. I'm considering this instead with the CF insert from IND. Another $450 upgrade so I'm holding off for now.

This looks like the alcantara version and not OEM Carbon fiber. I'm getting the gloss carbon M Performance F8x inlay installed next week so will share pics.
Looking forward to the pics! Did you PPF your car? Interested whether the dealer used betalink as well as the bolts and rivets to fit the winglets.
Front PPF only. I'll let you know re the installation method next week when I drop it in for the break in service.

I like them. The add a nice softening to the rear wheel and make the lines flow beautifully on the side profile. Am looking forward to mine being added Thursday.

One thing I'm reasonably sure of having seen the splatter marks of leaf debris in wet weather is that the winglets will deflect some debris away from the rear wheels and back wheel arch. Will be interested to see if that's the case.

I’m liking the wingle lets idea to Jimjamz, a very nice contrast for the HS and AW cars too me thinks and just flows with all the other CF stuff without being OTT.

I will be waiting for the pics bro.

That thing is going to get so much dirt in it it will look like a planter box and be growing daisies in a couple of months.

Then again. This could be appealing to some folk so I am not being judgemental. Some poppies and sunflowers would look striking with the Misano blue.

Ok, I clearly read the description wrong. Should have been M Performance Carbon Fibre Planter Box x2.

It's midnight and I think I just woke up my neighbours from my laughter

At least he'd be growing daisies not pushing them

I'm quite partial to gerberas myself

Question for those that did the install themselves... did you use the recommended body panel adhesive per bmw guide?? Or did you just stick with the 3m and tabs?

Question: winglets are certainly beautiful and add to the aesthetics of the car, but do they serve any real function?

Not sure at all about aero but these certainly I can confirm

- the keep a bunch of crap off your rear wheel arches (debris inc stones, mud and wet leaves ). The difference for me has been noticeable

- i like their look (personal subjective opinion sticker applied )

Looks alone can be a solid enough reason... any rocker protection we can get helps with the flair this car has!

I did use the adhesive, the plastic rivets won't hold shit.

When you apply the beta link, it goes right along the channel where the pre installed strip of double sided tape is.

Image from the weekend I also added to the dailies. The winglets add cohesion to the side profile and aesthetically link the front splitter with the rear spoiler and diffuser. They also keep debris off your rear arches.

I've added the RW Carbon side skirt, no winglets, and it looks great. Would have been a nice if added from BMW. I'm very happy with the way they look.

This is my 2nd favorite option.

If I ever get tired of the winglets, I may try these for a while. Maybe change it up with the season.

Are you guys installing this with self tapping screws or just adhesive? I'm a little hesitant to drill holes for the side skirt after reading about the potential for rust to form.
