Denver area anyone?
Hi Everyone,
I picked up an '18 AW M2 a few weeks back and was wondering how many M2s are in the area? Maybe we can get a meet set up sometime soon? Thanks! Last edited by M2Pilot; 10-02-2020 at 10:47 AM.. |

There's a couple groups on FB. I think there are regular meetups in the Denver area.

Just picked up my MG '18 .. down in South Denver.
Same - I don't do Facebook. We should organize a drive one of these upcoming weekends that have good weather. This weekend is looking dicey! |

I am in the Denver area. I got my M2C a few weeks ago, was supposed to do European Delivery but COVID messed that up.

I'm in Littleton with a '20 SOM M2C.
I do no Facebook, but it would be nice to meet up/drive with fellow M2 owners-- at least once the weather gets a little better. R. Last edited by flybigjet; 01-04-2021 at 11:48 PM.. |

I don't have an M2 but I am in Denver with E46 M3. The E46 forum is dead on bimmerpost :/
Just moved to the area, but back in VA I organized a few smaller local BMW C&Cs. I could scope out some areas in the Denver metro area if people were interested.

R. And for the record? Selling my e46 M3 (and I more or less *gave* it away) was one of the bigger mistakes I've made in my life.

haha tell me about it, this is my 3rd E46 M3. I sold my ZCP to a friend which was dumb and I tried a M3 convertible to see what the experience was like and sold that as well. I'll be sticking with this one for awhile.

Guess I haven't been on the regional forum for a long time...
2018 BSM in central Denver. Have seen 2 M2s in the last two weeks after not seeing any since last April or so. Gorgeous HS M2C in wash park last weekend and an OG AW parked in an alley off like 1st an Broadway a few weeks ago.

I'm in Westminster with a BSM M2C. Always down for a drive as long as it's nice out. I'm mostly in all the Facebook groups for these things: Colorado C&C, DAE etc.. I'll do my best to get on here and try and coordinate something with ya'll who don't have FB.

I do no Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc. I'd appreciate the setup if you post here-- although my car's non-drivable until after Feb 25th as the paint on the Euro-spec bumper needs to cure before I can wrap it with PPF and ceramic. I'm not going to drive it and let it get sandblasted on Denver roads before then. R. |

I'll volunteer to setup a small meetup/cars'n'coffee. I won't setup the drive since I am new to the area and barely know my way around. I'll start another thread dedicated to a Denver Area C&C or BMWs

I just signed up for the Western Express Rally in September-- looks like it'll be a good time, and everyone I've corresponded to seems to have really enjoyed it.
And, since it starts in Denver, that makes it pretty attractive. Anyhow, if anyone's interested, here's the link..... http://www.expressrally.com/#/western-express-21/ Might be kind of fun to get some M2's along for the ride. |

whats the car and driving scene like in Denver? not super into the "lets cruise around the city and show our burble tune" type of drives.
what about the track culture? would it be worth keeping my track bike etc? Thinking about moving from Nashville to Denver and I would keep my m2 and bikes for what I hope would be some amazing road within an hour of the city? Right now I can get on some fun roads in about 30-45 mins and they just keep going. I do a lot of driving and have started tracking both the M2 and one of my bikes. also can you get away with catless stuff there for inspection?

Big picture near Denver: High Plains track and Bandimere (1/4 mile)-- other than that, you have to start going down towards Pueblo. As far a "road rides"? You're minutes away from some of the best roads in the country! If you open it up to a two- or three- day trip, you've got Telluride, Durango, the Million Dollar Highway, Black Canyon, Monarch Pass, etc. Here's a recommendation: Get a "Butler Map- Colorado"-- it's a motorcycle map (there are two versions-- paved and dirt) that will show (and color-code) the best roads/loops/out-and-backs in the state-- I've actually worn one out on my GS as it's an EXCELLENT road-trip planner! Overall, Denver's a fun place. It's gone a little nutty with all of the "imports" from CA and TX lately, but it's still a lot of fun. And? EPIC mountain biking, motorcycle riding, snowboarding, skiing, food scene, and Big Freakin' Rocks!
