BMW M2 Competition build
It been a while since i posted one of our builds on here but i thought it time to give you guys an update.
Erics M2 Competition has had alot of time and dedication put into it. The car is primarily used for track days now but seeing we are in lock down it hasn't been used too much lately. The engine is pushing more power with upgraded custom turbo's, downpipes, an Akrapovic exhaust system, Custom ESS tuning software, FTP charge pipes, Eventuri intake, CSF charge cooler, CSF radiator, FTP oil thermostat and a VTT crank hub upgrade. The Suspension upgrades include KW V3 coil overs with ground control camber plates, SPL adjustable sway bar links, Millway castor arm ball joints, Burkhart brake duct cooling, upgraded track pads DS 2500 front and rear. HRE Flow form FF04 with Michelin Cup2 tyres. For track days we have just installed a set of Trofeo R tyres on Apex EC7 on 19in wheels The interior has Recaro Pole Position seats with 4 point harness and the roll cage if from AGI painted in Hockenheim same as the body colour. The steering wheel is from an M4CS and there is an AK motion guage installed and all the Mperformance interior pack. Externally, it has the AC Schnitzer front lip and rear diffuser and the rear racing wing is from an M235i Racing. It also has MPerformance side winglets and M24 bonnet with vents. I hope you like it, let me know what you guys think. |

Amazing build, very tastefully done! can see some serious coin that's been put into that beautiful M2C.

Looks awesome.
Have you guys done anything similar on N55 M2? Obviously the ceiling for performance is lower but would love to know what sort of builds you've done for the ol' OG

Yes, over the years we have done plenty of builds. Not to this extent but we surely have done plenty of them for the OG M2.
They vary depending on what the owners want to do with them. We have done lots of KW V3 coil overs, Eventuri intakes, & charge pipes. Some are just track toys and get upgraded pads and suspension but what a great balanced car they are. I mean, heard to beat in terms of value for money are realistically you dont have to spend a fortune to get lots of enjoyment and feedback from the chassis V's performance of it. Other guys like the looks more than track duties, so we have done lots of MPerformance interior trim kits, Alcantara steering wheels, pedals sets, mat sets, and MPerformance exterior parts. We have also done several Akrapovic Evolution exhaust systems as well, so overall, yes, we have done lot's of them and i expect we will do several more over the next few years. They are still a very desirable car, i always keep an eye on current prices to keep an eye on resale values. |

That looks great! The painted cage and seats are highlights.
Makes me want to start modifying mine when I resolved to keep it stock. Out of curiosity, and feel free to not answer, what sort of lap times can this package produce at Phillip Island? Interested to compare with my stock times. |

Wondering what size the Cup2 & Trofeo R are? I'm deciding on some track tyres to go on a 2nd set of 437M's I have, the +1 sized Cup2 (255/275 are only in MO spec I think) so not sure if they're a good option, otherwise was thinking of Trofeo R's or RE71R / AD08R. What would you recommend, suspension is Ohlins R&T, Pagid RSL29 pads in stock brakes. Many thanks |

265/30/19 fr and 295/30/19 rear Trofeo's
255/35/19 fr and 275/35/19 rear cup 2's Cup2's were no good on track, Trofeo's haven't been used yet but we expect a massive improvement. Hopefully lock down finishes soon and he sees more track time Last edited by andrew@southernBM; 07-31-2020 at 01:49 AM.. |

What offset are you running on those rims? With race tyres running a bit wider for the same section width, impressed to see you could get 295's on the rear. |

Just watched the video above, it's got some serious snort!! Be interesting to see what I can pull out of incoming M2 CS manual...hoping for a mid 34 stock. If I'm game enough to track it.. |
