Was at local BMW dealer this weekend. They had a red M4 CS in the showroom with the gold wheels. He said the car has been there a long time. ($114k sticker I can see why) I told him I had the same wheels but had them repainted. He laughed and said the other CS they had with gold wheels they had to repaint as a part of the purchase.

I think the wheels are fun to see at car shows and maybe in places like Miami where everything it more flamboyant they work. I had them on the car for a weekend before my appointment to get repainted. In some lights they look silver which looks fine. In any light where you could detect the gold I simply didn't think they worked. (I have a white M2C)

For those that like the Frozen gold wheels, I am a firm believe in everyone enjoying their car exactly the way the want to. Please don't misconstrue my personal preference as a knock against yours.
The M4cs only comes with Orbit Grey 763M wheels from the factory. Any other wheels on the car are dealer swaps...

Red M3cs ??? There are no red M3cs. M4cs maybe (Melbourne Red replaced BSM as a standard M4cs colour as of MY2020)

Why is this poor M2CS not practicing social distancing? You know those Subarus are nasty infectious. Once they slow you down, you never get back up to speed!

Haha, gold wheels gonna be inbound on mine . Glad to see one in the US. I was getting worried that they may scrap the CS.
10 years from now the gold wheels will be money, since nobody kept them from stock.

Seems that the collector items are a hard sell from new, but pick up value once people realize what they are (CSL, E30 M3, Z coupe...)

Right...

They just add weight really. Save the carbon roof perhaps.

Most people will not even remotely experience any benefit—-besides showing people the CF bits they have

The hood, front splitter and rear gurney flap increase downforce. While it is true that folk that only intend to DD the M2cs will not notice any performance gains from these, they are also not using the M2cs for what it is intended. These folks should be more than content with an M2C. The purpose of the CS lineup is to be optimized for the track while maintaining DD capability.

Car looks great! Don't care how crazy expensive the CCB are, those brakes make a big difference looks wise.

Funny you say that. I was surprised to see that at the LA Auto Show the spoiler edges appeared to have extra tape that was visible. Many of us know the struggle with keeping the edges down in the MP spoiler given the thin stock 3M tape.

Don't think it's fair to say it provides no benefit. While most people won't feel it driving to C&C, it does do something. Besides, these parts weigh nothing compared to the rest of the car.

Personally, I think this is one of the coolest cars BMW has ever released. It checks so many boxes that the enthusiasts have been begging for. I just happen to think performance vs price, the M2C is just better value.
