Trim choices for the M2?
Hello, I was wondering what the trim choices for the M2 would be, The same as the M3/M4? Same as the M235? Maybe something new? I haven't heard anything from anyone about trims yet.
Anyone got any ideas? |

I hope the materials of the dash is less cheap. It's probably the only thing I really don't like about my M235i.

Full leather is not an individual item, its an option on all M cars. The colors will probably be standard M colors but you should still be able to get leather wrapped dash and trim with the contrast stitching. The 228 and M235 do not have the option of leather dash and trim.

I think the color choices will be the same as the M4. That would include the Orange seats or the Beige seats or Black. I personally would like to have the M2 in Austin Yellow with Black wheels and Black Interior. Of course I would opt for the Full leather so the dash, console and some trim parts would be wrapped in leather. The other interior trim pieces I would do in Carbon Fiber. Honestly I don't need M car power. If I could get a 228i M Sport with all the goodies and the Full leather dash and trim in the same quality leather that goes into the 'M' cars I would be very happy. I do not need that 'M' badge. I just want a BMW that drives like one and the 228i does that. It is at a price point where you have to give up the super nice interior though. The 228i is BMW level driving car with a Volks Wagon Jetta interior.

M cars have the ability to have full leather...period!! Without the upgraded interior you may as well get the M235i and save 10+ thousand dollars. The peformance upgrades will not be that great compared to the M235i. If they were it would hurt M4 sales. It only sounds dumb because your comprehension skills are lacking. I suggest Silvan learning center.

- No M cars under an M5 have ever had leather dash offered as an option until just now, period. Maybe you should do some research. So an E46 M3 is not an M car because it didn't have a full leather dash? - EPS, brakes, suspension from the M3/4? Hell yes that is worth it and a pretty beefy upgrade. Whether we get any significant weight savings or not, who knows, but I sure hope so - Having an uprated N55 instead of a detuned S55 is exactly BMW's way of protecting M3/4 sales from the M2.

I was not talking about old cars I am talking about the current M line up. Not once did I say Older M models. Once again...reading comprehension. To many the things you mentioned are not worth 10+ grand price difference. Name calling is not necessary and gives away your lack of intelligence.

If anybody is more worried about what trim you are getting over other key areas?
Then perhaps the M2 is not for you...

If you had a limited budget and time constraints, what would you have them focus on? Performance? Looks? Luxury? What are your priorities... You can see the direction they are taking - and rightfully so.
