Sticky handbrake
Hi,when I pull off in my M2c it squeals for 5 seconds after I drive off
It’s a sticky handbrake Are there any quick fixes? I have no idea, but don’t really want to take it to garage this side of Xmas |

Try gently applying the handbrake on and off a few times while moving. Don’t pull it sharply to lock the rear wheels; just enough to remove any corrosion from the pads.

Low speed, just a few mph.
The rear handbrake/hub area is a pure rustbucket, especially if you drive the car in Winter. It's worth taking apart and cleaning properly every few years. It's not a hard job at all, just takes a bit of time and some organic cleaning supplies. |
