Carbonio No Drill License Plate Mount install

May be beating a dead horse with this topic but I personally HATE having my cars be drilled into so the front plate can be mounted. After looking continuously for a legit no drill option I pulled the trigger on the Carbonio no drill mount and did an install video for those that are in the market for one. I am not affiliated to them at all just trying to make everyone's decision a bit easier. If you are wondering how it handles highway / autobahn speeds I have been on the autobahn a few times since I installed it and cruising at 110 MPH / 177 KMH its held on no issues and there has been no signs of the plate flexing.

If you like the video go ahead like and subscribe!

I'd seriously move that plate up slightly higher to allow for maximum cooling ‼️

I'll definitely keep an eye out. I wash the car every weekend and pull it off so perfect time to
Monitor it.

Why do people have to drill into the bumper? The plate hides those holes and you won't see them when you get rid of the car. Help me understand.

Being stationed in Europe you have to have a front plate. I am returning to a state that does not require a front plate (NC). So I don't want the holes to be there. Also some of us don't lease the car and end up keeping them for the long haul and it's damage we don't want on the car. Finally many of us want to take pictures of the car without the plate and this gives that flexibility.

This is what I HAVE:

I'm not a fan of the Euro offset look.

This plate looks like its "floating" out in front of the bumper...

That's the exact same mount that I did the video on... and it's been adjusted as far in as it will go and as high at it will go it's just how it looks.

The part about moving back makes sense (unless you move to Illinois and I hope nobody ever does that ).

I don't agree with the damage part - cause like I said, for those who have to have the front plate (with no hope of moving), it really isn't damage - it is two holes covered by a plate. The people who do the offset tow hook mount - those just look soo mooch to me - so, to me, they drive around with a terrible looking front plate setup for years, so they don't have holes in their bumper after they get rid of the car. The only person that helped was the new owner

and I do agree, that the system you put on there is sooo much better than this picture

I grew up in IL and I sure as hell am never going back! The toe hook mount looks like trash on these cars does not matter if it's a state side or European plate! And definitely can see your perspective. I just personally hate the hole!

I believe it's the 133, for vehicles without adaptive cruise control.

This thing is pretty stupid expensive for what you get, but at the same time, it does work - unlike many of the tow-mount plate adapters from what I've found. It was a tough bill to pay but it was absolutely worth it just to be done. When I purchased the kit back in 2019, the incorrect installation instructions were included and they made no sense because they were for a different car. I dropped an email to Carbonio and they sorted it out immediately. Not that you'd really need customer support for something like this but it was nice to have them there dealing with it. I was impressed and recommend this frame!

I have to agree they are very responsive which is nice. And so far I have one winter on the mount and a couple long trips on the autobahn cruising at 120mph and a few 165mph pulls and it's held on with 0 issues

I definitely wasted money on a tow hook mount which i used for about a year because I kind of balked at the Carbonio price.

But after a year of randomly triggering my front parking sensors any time i put the car in the reverse, i bit the bullet.

My conclusion was that I should've just gone Carbonio in the first place. Expensive, but absolutely worth it.
