I have a canvas seat cover/hammock with a towel she likes on top of that. You can sort of see the set up on that picture. She does shed year around - some times more than others - so I do vacuum when I get around to it but I don't sit on that backseat ever so it's not exactly priority. In reality, I think I can count with my fingers how many times I had people/person sit on backseats in 3 years I had M2 so it's really her seat more than seats for people. I also used the same setup for my E46 M3 and the leather on E46 is much softer stuff but neither M3 and M2 have no tears/scratches.

Figured I'd ask in here.. how the hell do you get dog hair out of the short carpet? My cars previous owner had a yorkie that left hair everywhere. A lint roller didn't work

You could try putting on some heavy rubber gloves (dish-washing yellow ones are what I learned this with). You can then rub the carpet and the rubber collects the hairs, pulls it out of the carpet better than a tape roller. The Griots thing works the same way, but I find the gloves are much more effective. It doesn't work for me with thin style medical gloves, just those heavy dishwashers. I discovered this by accident while desperately trying to clear the house for the inlaws (unexpectedly early) arrival.

Has anyone purchased a back seat hammock recently or have anything good to say about one in particular? This guy is getting too big/rowdy to sit in the front footwell with my wife and I need to get something to keep him in the back seat without tearing up the plastic around the windows or the seats

I have a question for cat owners. When I first got my cat I had a backpack carrying case for him, he was fine and would wonder around the car when I drive. But as he got older, will turn 2 next month he never really gets out of his backpack when riding in the car anymore. He will occasionally if the road trip has gotten longer than 2 hours. How do I get him to come out?

Oh and here is my Abby Tahm with his friend

My gf has a cat, which pretty much means I have a cat. Don't think he's been in the m2 yet, he doesn't like to travel.

ACDs are great dogs. Ours is a rescue, but similar in colour and markings. Posting a photo from my phone is proving to be impossible at the moment.

I've bought two hammocks for my 4dr cars, and both wrap up at the front. I could see this being a nuisance in a 2dr. The first one was made by petsafe and flaked apart after a few years. It had a lifetime warranty and it was replaced without question. I bought another one for my golf which was from Amazon. It was a bit pricier, and is padded. What I like about it is that it has flaps to cover up the doors.

For what it's worth wagons are meant for pets...

Dog Hammock

Any advice on the best dog hammock for the M2? Prices range from 35$ on amazon to $200+ on other sites. The Orvis one I had years ago lasted nearly a decade and was amazing, but I was curious what others might be good and not as pricey. I have a 70lb malinois / retriever mix.

Time to revive an oldie but goodie :)

Taking Apollo out for a ride. He LOVES being in the M2 back seat - more than being in the SUV I used to have. I think it's because of the smaller space & more support when he lies down - he can sleep & not be disturbed from motion. And he can stick his head out the front window more easily, slobbering all over the side of my car. LOL

Absolutely love dogs, and love seeing dogs in nice cars. It gives off a dgaf vibe I can appreciate.

I’m too soft for that though so for now that vehicle is a 4Runner. One that’s currently covered in dirt outside and in.

The prior owner of my house put in one of those whole-house vacuums, with an outlet in the garage! So yep, means I am using it constantly to get the dang GSD hair outta my car! LOL

They don't call 'em German Shedders for no reason.
