I've been badge-less for almost 2 years now

I've got the black M2 badge I've just never installed it

Probably will do it at the same time I put on my new rear spoiler

Completely debadged for the last year or so. Sometimes I miss seeing a badge but I do prefer the clean look.

They look like BBS CH-R.

definitely a fan of the debaged rear, it's cleaner and no asymmetry =)

To each to his/her own as to what he/she prefers. Personally I prefer the pop of color from the tri-color M stripe on the badge to break up my AW M2C with CF trim more for me than anyone else.

Agree with prior posts about true enthusiasts knowing at what they are looking or seeing. Reminds me of two situations with my wife's DD, a de-badged W213 E63s wagon. First, a self reported "gear head" banker who serves on a non-for-profit board with my wife spoke derisively and derided her car as an "uncool mom mobile". My wife just smiled and said "it works for me". Clearly he had no clue about the vehicle or it's capability but he believes he is a "gear head".

In sharp contrast, we were at a friend's sitting about a fire pit on the side patio in an upscale neighborhood in the early evening. My wife's wagon was parked out front. From where we were seated, I could see a jeep with 4 teenagers drive past the home, quickly come to a stop and slowly back up. I had to laugh as I could here the 4 young men excitedly talk about the de-badged wagon. One came up to the door and rang the doorbell. He politely asked if we could turn it on and blip the exhaust as they had not seen one in person before. We obliged and they happily went on their way after recording it on their phones. Made my wife smile and reminded me of myself and my friends growing up even well before we could drive. Suspect that many of you on this forum similarly can identify a vehicle not only by it's badge but by its brakes, exhaust, fenders, ride height, exhaust note, etc etc.

Those who know, know. Those who can be fooled by a badge such as the M5 badge I saw stuck to the rump of a Audi A4, will continue to be "badge dependent" and unknowing slaves to automotive fashion without knowing the substance of the engineering behind the M, AMG, RS, etc badge.

I've seen some de-badged cars that looked nicer (IMO), but the M2's badging is so subtle, I can't see the reasoning behind it. It's literally just removing some nice details.

My car came without the M2 badging in the rear, which I'm glad of. I tend to want to debadge my cars. I'll be glad when I eventually have a reason to lose the roundels as well.
