I think some of the plastic connectors are a tighter fit than others, depending on the car. Maybe it's a parts quality issue

I had Harrison Motorsports in Alpharetta, GA install some new Ferodo DS2500 pads, Motul RBF 600, and Goodridge stainless lines. Plus, a Wagner EVO II comp IC and Turner Carbon intake. Brakes feel great so far, we'll see how they go in the mountains. Turner intake sounds awesome, you can actually hear the turbo now. Not too much, but just enough BOV sound to know it's a turbo.

Butler Tire also got my alignment perfect. -2.5 camber 0 toe front and -2.2 camber 1/16" total toe in rear. Feels amazing now. Turn in so much better.

definitely an underrated interior mod. Still not sure if I can take the m performance logo off without ruining it.

Fitted strip of tint to inside of windscreen. Looks oem & works well. Cost - $10 on eBay. Had enough leftover to do the wife's Audi too. Sometimes it's the little mods that make a difference.

If you ever have to replace it for whatever reason use this method (9:15) because the plugs WILL NOT come out:

I'm surprise the bezel even separates from the main unit; some dudes in the 2er section had attempted to replaced that same exact piece because the pre-LCI F22 was flat-black and not glossy, as the M2, which they claimed that the trim couldn't be removed, without incidental damage.. :

Also, I do know if you have replace any of the HVAC or radio controls, the entire vehicle needs to be programmed, in order to sync with the new part. Which means losing all your saved coding.

Now that's the real drag there, not some cosmetic scratches on the trim, IMHO..

However, as always, thanks for sharing

I'm not the biggest fan of the m performance lettering but in reality it's tiny and far beneath your nose. Just learn to get over it IMO

The trim definitely separates from the bezel without damage, you just have to start at one end and methodically push tabs with a trim removal tool while you push the hvac/radio from the opposite side. If you have a tool and know where the tabs are it's pretty easy but I could see how damage could occur if you're ham handed and try to force it out. Overall it's still a very unpleasant job because of the fact that the plugs don't seem to want to budge on some cars (mine being one of them). Lol, you're right though; I should just be thankful it wasn't a more serious issue. Only lost $50 and a shred of my sanity.

strut brace

Wiechers Sport strut brace

Is it as clean/cool as OEM M2C/M3/M4 brace set? No.
Is it old-school cool? Yes.
Does it work as well as OEM M2C? Probably not.
Does it work better than OG stock? Absolutely.
Is it much cheaper than OEM retrofit? You betcha.

Does my engine bay need a little cleaning TLC?

Thank you! Dropped temporarily for now just above the top of the wheel for the rear and front. Will dial in the settings after 1000 miles. 12mm spacers all around.

Another track day at the 'Ring. Played cat and mouse with a Cayman of some sort. I couldn't tell which one exactly.

I want those shoes so bad, but my foot is very wide at the front, and they don't offer wide sizes (that I can tell). Are they pretty stretchy and compliant, or hard as rocks?

BTW, totally dreaming of a Remus exhaust as well. You have good taste!

Yeah, they're pretty badass. Yes, they are very narrow at the front and run small. I usually where size 11 and they were too small, I had to order an 11.5. My foot isn't all that wide though, so they should be fine.

They are synthetic leather, so I don't think they will stretch very much. I wore them to the gym today (size 11) and they weren't terribly uncomfortable or anything. Just a bit too small. They are fairly hard-bottomed though, more so than regular running shoes.

You should try these other Puma bmw shoes that are more casual and real leather (I think).
