Finally had some time to satisfy my curiosity about the impact on the sound when the valve stays open. Combined with coding out the Active Sound, the cabin is actually quieter in S, S+, MDM, and DCT Off modes. The burbles and crackles also don't seem to be as accentuated as with the active sound turned on.

Thanks! Mirrors are aftermarket autoteknic m-style mirrors. Wheels are 19" apex EC7 9.5/10.5 on RE71s 255/35 and 285/35. Car is lowered on kw v3's as well.

Rotor Paint

The edge of hat on rotor shows rust....and you can see it through wheel spokes...looks bad and the first thing I noticed when I bought the car. It is now black. I have three more to do.

It's RW, I'm lowered so it scrapes here and there and RW cut me a deal lol

That's awesome, tho! That lip is high on my list because it's subtle and I'm also lowered and don't want to destroy it (daily driver). I wonder if they'd cut me the same/or similar deal lol would you mind PMing me the deal they gave you?

I didn't realise initially that you were asking dtmurf, but I'll bite and respond anyway!

The stock pads are really dusty, which does annoy me, but I've never had any issues at all cleaning my wheels. I did coat them with CQuartz DLux when I first bought the car, and have used CQuartz Hydr02 a few times since then as well.

Brake dust just rinses right off whenever I clean my wheels, so I've never need any sort of wheel specific cleaner.

I didn't think ceramic coatings on wheels did much, but maybe I'm 100% wrong. I see so many cars (not M2s per se) with stained wheels and just assumed it was because the owners did a crap job of washing or didn't care.

Thank you for taking the time.

I wash my wheels and wheel wells with the same Meguiar's Gold Shampoo and conditioner I use for the paint. I have my personal assortment of cleaning tools, however, find using small microfiber wash mitts seem to work best. Like you I have/had my doubts if ceramic coatings did much AND if they had to be reapplied often. I also feel wheel cleaners may be abrasive although they claim not to be. It seems if it cleans better it must be more abrasive or detrimental in some fashion. Just my feelings. I am not saying I am correct.

Another reason why I love PCCBs/CCBs. We just took delivery of a 230i coupe for my wife. BMW apparently had the pad compound changed as now there is little brake dust.

I didn't do anything to the m2 but I got to say, I can't be more bored with the m2cs. I'm only interested as far as maybe they will allow the CF roof from factory on the m2c before the end of life for the f87 m2.

I would not waste time with M2CS but I'd seriously consider making the move to a plug-in M2e

Same kit. You just don't use the clutch pedal on a DCT.
