installed the m performance wheel. it wasn't that hard, but i broke a pin in the sleeve that connects to the ecu while pulling out the awron wiring, which made the install a lot longer than it should have.

Haha. "Wasn't that hard" and then I look at the WIP picture. I get it though. Reminds me of when I replaced the recliner gear in my e36 M3. Removed the Vader seat, pulled the recliner assembly out. Disassembled the motor and gearbox. Replaced the gear, Put it back together. Not that hard.

I was organizing some of my M2/3 small parts and found some tri-stripe tape. The light blue is a touch too dark to match the trunk emblem, but it looks fine dressing up the dead pedal a touch. It looks like there's a gap, but that's just the reflection from my flash.

Not sure I'll keep it or how it will wear (does my foot even touch that part of the pedal?), but seemed to be something fun to do on a day off where it's too cold for the yardwork I had planned.

Radar Detector and Dash Cam Hard-Wired in = Awesome

Well worth the purchase and installation costs. After I took European Delivery of my 2010 135i in October 2009, my car had been in the States for sixteen months when a large lumber truck driver decided that my car should move ahead into the intersection even though I still had a red light while the left turn lane light was green. Diminished Value claim, six months of lawyers doing their job on the other side to wear me down. Dash cam has both a forward and reverse lens to capture such events in my 2018 M2. The Uniden R3 radar detector was a switch from my original plan to go with another EscortRadar Redline model; the tests with new Redline EX versus the Uniden R3 convinced me that my 135i would keep the six year old Redline and the M2 would get the latest leader in that area.

Love the F87 - M2! BMW Performance Exhaust and Rear Diffuser with carbon fiber tips = hot, hOT, HOT! Handles even more like a motorcycle than the 135i...but not quite as rad as my 2014 BMW K1300S which is 170 horsepower for a tiny thing. Freude am Fahren!!

what did I do to my M2?

I DROVE mine for the first time in over a month! I broke my arm and shoulder on 12-5 and haven't been able to drive my M2 since. Finally today, I have enough range of motion (and less pain) in my right arm that I could shift the manual trans! Only thing I couldn't do was get it into reverse, so I used my left hand for that. Sure does feel great to drive this car again!

Hi

I was looking for details and found this... Where did you get the power source for the dashcam hardwire please? Haven't looked about much yet in my car, only had it a couple of weeks, is there a fuse box in the front half or is it only the one in the boot?

Thanks!

The Cansonic dash cam has its own hardwire kit. Car Toys did the install. There is a fuse box up front as well as in the boot. I'd check with the cam vendor and installer.

Solaris hyper-white bulbs. Silver when off and white when on, but you can get amber if you prefer. No codes have been thrown so far. Cleans up the front quite a bit and makes a big difference; especially if you are ocd like me.

Here is a pic of them when not lit.

The problem is that even when you replace the amber bulb with the white, the bulb is still visible. They should of just hidden the bulb behind some rippled glass like they did with the E46 M3 and the E92 M3.
