At least in Canada, Supra Lease and Financing rates are crazy high!

These cars lose maybe 10% at best, so 415-420 isn't over 500BHP.

Well an S58 powered Supra with an M-DCT would be something if you are in the market for a seriously good 2 seater.

That would be cool, but if there is no manual (like the article implies), that is a deal breaker.

Where are you getting this information? Mid-engine super cars with DCT have about 11% drivetrain loses confirmed by a Ford technician in charge of factory dyno testing the brand new Ford GT. There's no way front engine car has less drive train loss. I'd say around 13-15% is what most dyno operators suggest.

Again, you will walk these cars in a straight line.
Not sure about that. Below are all the Car & Driver 1/4 mile times for reference:

M2C with DCT: 12.4@116
M2C with 6MT: 12.4@114, 12.4@116
'20 Supra: 12.5@112, 12.2@113
'21 Supra: 12.1@117

Seems like driver's race at best, with slight edge to Supra. Now the Supra 2.0t.. that you can walk no problem

The Supra is about 200lbs lighter than the M2C so that definitely helps. I also think it sits lower than the M2C and probably has better aerodynamic flow around the body.

Walk into a Toyota dealership and walk into a BMW one and see the difference
I think dealer retail has enough ineptitude and rudeness to go around.

No 6MT is a total bust and always has been. This car could have been great. But instead it's just trash and not a true driver's car. It's a lame ass attempt on Toyota's part to revive a classic.
