not the same as going for a jog, waiting for it to hit 3.1miles then checking the time to see what your 5k time is.. i.e. it might say the lap was a few tenths of a mile longer/shorter than actually traveled, but the time should still be accurate. I'm not an expert but that adds up to me. I do, however, want to see what Randy can do with the M2. maybe they'll do a M2 v. M4 head to head.

1:40 is very quick but looking up official laptimes it is 2 seconds behind a GT4. |

Interestingly, while we were doing auto-x at the Thermal Center a couple weeks ago, Both I, and my brother set our fastest auto-x times with the other person in the car. We were both a couple of tenths slower without a passenger. Not that either of us are highly consistent, but it was interesting.

Plus xDrive.
Only way to use tons of power and torque.

Randy Pobst obviously is the more experienced guy at Laguna Seca vs Martin Tomczyk. But Martin as a DTM 2011 champion knows what he is doing too
So two different drivers, GPS malfunctioning so-they-say, slower than an M4, faster than an M3 E92. Almost on par with a 560BHP supersled M6. AND with 2 persons aboard... It always will be an apples to oranges game. Always. I find this video the most amusing of an M2 so far: -Entertaining and some info like pulling 1.6G(!) in the Corkscrew on 'streettyres'. -Laying down 90 metres(yards) of rubber down a B road in a long drift. -8seconds staying in a drift on a dry Laguna Seca in a non modified car. -Donuts galore -Dat sound!! Off course this is probably not the most useful information for a 'car test', but what are we looking for in an M2 anyway? MPG? Luggagespace? Parking Assistance? Cheers Robin |
