Could be, but it just loks like an M2C with some of the M Perf. parts installed (which you would expect to see on a CSL).

CCBs isn't an M Perf part.

That trunk spoiler is new and currently not available. Also it has the CCBs so this should be a new model. Looks like they are going to add bunch of M performance parts (no CF trunk lid or fenders tho) on it possibly with a ~20hp increase and call it CS/L. Can't wait to see the final product

BMW is pumping everything out.
New spoiler looks similar to the M4 CS and the F90 M5 M Performance PRO spoilers. Same design can be seen on the upcoming X3M and X4M.

BMW really needs to emphasis the "L" in this model. Utilize all available CF body panels, incorporate (manual) racing seats, and limit electronic tech where possible. If the curb weight comes to <3400 lbs, it will be a keeper. andrewc89 is right though. That big, heavy muffler needs to go.

LOL and what exhaust muffler...
Let's wait and see what they release. It will definitely have a price tag 20% over the M2C MR |

I really hope all these little add on pieces become better integrated as the design develops.
It’s like watching a Hollywood Star slowly transforming after countless plastic surgeries. If they keep changing little things here and there then before you know it the beauty and simplicity of the original will be lost all together...

I heard the reason the muffler was so big on the e9x M3 was to limit the wind resistance on the diffuser/bumper at high speed. Could this be a similar idea? Either way I would remove it.

Too excited for this.
But I think that this is a CS, rather than CSL. I don't see a cage in the back, and the spoiler looks more reminiscent of the M3/4 CS, rather than what we've seen on GTS models. I know the E46 CSL has a ducktail spoiler, so I could be wrong. Either way I think this is also the last hurrah for the F87 M2. |
