M2C with M Performance Suspension?

Has anyone with an M2 Competition installed the M Performance Suspension yet?

What are the noticeable differences between the M2C setup and MP setup? (I don't know if the M2 and M2C have the same configuration or not)

How it rides around a city?

Part numbers are the same across both models for both original dampers/springs and the MPS, so you will notice the increase in spring rate at low speeds. The damping at the suggested road settings (they can go a fair bit softer) is less bouncy than the stock items and seems less affected by catseyes and potholes at speed. HTH

Yes there's threads on here showing m2C with MPerf coils installed. Search and ye shall find...

I just installed the MPS on my OG M2 - OEM settings. You can instantly feel the stiffer springs after driving 5 feet. The OEM suspension would easily let you know if you ran over a pencil, the MPS do the same if you run over a dime. The overall feel is more solid and stable. Highway ride is a little stiffer although taking out a couple clicks or so compression - equally on all corners - will help. Leave the rebound where it is. I would imagine the feeling, etc. would pretty much be the same on the M2C. City driving IMO would be tough to live with, for me. I guess that is really all in "eye of the beholder".

Edit: I would really like to drive and M2C with MPS to feel how the slightly heavier brake calipers make everything feel. More than likely barely noticeable but might slow things down a fraction.

Can't notice a thing between my 17 M2 with blue brakes and 19 M2C when it comes to weight of the brakes. I did change from 788M to 763M though.

Houbi, how much have u lowered the car by? Have you had the chance to really push?

It should roll less, correct?

I have been wanting to pull the trigger for a month now, but still....Ben Stiller saying DO IT, DO IT is plays in my head all the time but i am being cheap.

20mm front and back. But on that pics the springs are like driven for 100km or so. After 2000km i'm sure things will settle in and the car be lower, or at -20mm in the end.

Yes, less body roll. Better/faster cornering. Pretty convenient on high ways speed. Bit more bumby on shitt roads (as expected). This is my DD, I am already very happy now and can only get better.

Will give it 2000km and then start to adjust compression and maybe rebound, let's see.

Well, noting that I have an LCI rather than a C, I'm currently running 2 clicks softer than BMW recommend on compression and rebound at both ends.

So F: 8C 11R, R: 8C 14R

Thanks. So we are running the same settings as OG M2 then....

Stock - from the BMW installation instructions are:
Front axle
Rebound 9 clicks open
Compression 6 clicks open
Rear axle
Rebound 12 clicks open
Compression 6 clicks open

Any more updates to this subject? I find the stock suspension to be quite bouncy over any sort of bump on the highway... in fact it kind of feels all over the place if the pavement is not perfect. Does a lot of this get better with this rebranded KW v3?

I have them on my m2c. They can be somewhat more comfortable than the stock suspension if they are in soft settings. They are also pretty good on track if they are in stiffer settings and paired with camber plates.

Keep in mind that with my set, GC plates could not be safely installed. The threads on the top of the shock rod were shorter than OEM and were not long enough for more than 2 threads of the top nut. I ended up using TCK plates, modified them, and now have -3 degrees in the middle setting. I like that they are fixed position and will not move.

They are a good compromise for road and track use, and have a bmw warranty.

Okay, I'll bite...

The damping and spring rates are identical between OG, LCI and C.

So, noting that the front bracing on the C makes a significant difference when retrofitted to the LCI in my opinion (other threads suggest similar), 'and' I have also fitted MPS, I offer the following:

You will notice the increase in spring rate at low speeds. The damping at the suggested road settings (they can go a fair bit softer) is less bouncy than the stock items and seems less affected by catseyes and potholes at speed.

I'm currently running 2 clicks softer than BMW recommend on compression and rebound at both ends, as on the roads I drive it's possible to get it moving as and when I like at rational speeds. So F: 8C 11R, R: 8C 14R. It is much more controlled and comfortable than stock.

HTH.
