For those looking to get this done, I was able to get all the items needed right from Amazon and kubax86 even offered suggestions when I was stumped. The whole process only took about an hour to complete and at an amazing price. I do not own a PC and could still do the process from my Mac. All I had to do was install Windows using Bootcamp (completely free).

Everything worked like a charm and now I have full screen CarPlay and opted to have my iDrive upgraded from iDrive5 to iDrive6. I've uploaded some images for those wondering about the process.

Props to this amazing individual for helping out people to do this upgrade!

Had kubax86 update my M2 last night and configure fullscreen CarPlay. Even jumped through extra hoops to get the menu on the side I wanted! Fantastic work.

Hi, i have a off topic question.
Is it possible to play youtube on carplay while driving?
Sometimes i see adds on insta with offers for this, but i'm not so thrusty with that.

I remember Kubax saying no YouTube on CarPlay.

Only videos like mp4 on USB.

There is no YouTube app for CarPlay. You are limited to what Apple lets you do.

Just did my M2C. Answered all my questions very quickly and it worked like a charm on a MacBook running parallels. Took less than 5 mins and its perfect. Great stuff and very reasonable rates!

Someone over in the M2C forum mentioned they just got a new 2021 a week or so ago and it had full screen CarPlay already enabled. Any ideas how this could be?

It may be possible that late 2021 have it from factory, but not yet confirmed.

Took delivery yesterday and my new '21 has fullscreen CarPlay out of the box, as (some) others are reporting. Awesome! Will post up screen shots including software build versions later today.
